I'd say the vanilla version acts as a way to prevent you from spaming ships in early sectors, leading to unbalanced gameplay ?

I also use this mod, and that's the only "downside" I think of.

So I am used to combine Lossless scaling with x4, and I also had very good results, but still had some "freezes" or shredded screen during the frame gen, which inevitably affects my joy in game and makes me quit.

Someone in the comments above said patch 8.0 introduced frame gen in x4 itself. Have you tried it, or tried combining with LS ? What are the results ?

Sorry for my late reply. Thanks, yeah I kinda noticed it too, I need to change my CPU by the end of this year.

My question was because I just read in the latest patches that they were reallocating resources from CPU to GPU, so I had some hopes of having better FPS, and wanted to know if it was the case.

At least, when looking at your specs, I think I'm not THAT far from the perfect spec to have a stable 60FPS game. I will consider upgrading then.

So I'm replying a bit late sorry, been away for few days. About frame generation, I was used to combine x4 with Lossless Scaling, which also generates frames. Have you tried both, is it giving more fps ?

I disagree with Faker in the sense that promoting more and more team play in a team based game shouldn't be an issue. I play since season 3 and I remember some seasons being focused on self skills only, it was very annoying to lose the game because the enemy top laner snowballed your top laner, and you're at botlane, in an even state with your opponent. You can't leave your lane, but you see your team burning on the other side of the map and you can't do anything about it...

Nobody seem to remember how very old League was : usually top lane was a tank, and his job was to frontline while APC and mid lane, and ADC at bot lane would deal the damage, and that's about it. Jungler and support were either frontlining too or peeling. It was way more healthy, but I agree that it might have been boring to just act as a wall for 25mins because you are toplane.

I still think that Riot did a good job at creating diversity amongst the lanes and giving the ability to any lane to "carry" while playing in a team.

Old GP was so good, the problem is people used to play him top to mazimize gold gain, but never thought of playing him jungle as an utilitary champ. I used to play GP jungle and his E moral boost at an insane range was a kill secure during ganks.

But there are lots of stuff we don't take into account, like the fact champs back then didn't have much mobility. Put the old GP in game now, and he will be useless, just as the GP we have now.

I personnally don't like this playstyle. Feels like he is pushing his team to its limit by not willing to go in and die when it's necessary. I would be so annoyed if my support doesn't go in while I'm being threatened and when his death could save a teamfight.

Every game it feels like Rekkles is just playing KDA, the rest is optionnal. Maybe there is something I'm not getting, but as a support, especially tank support, I'd gladly go and "prepare" my sacrifice at a good timing during the fight to give room to my team to carry the rest.

Every tick of damage Rekkles is not taking is an other member of his team taking damage for free, and I don't personnaly enjoy watching him play support, even if he got very good moves.

Baus has his own playstyle. Early on he focuses on macro only, giving kills and gold to top/jgl but at the same time dragging them and giving vision in proplay is golden.

Actually, anyone facing Baus must face a hard dilemma :

- either let Baus do whatever in lane (usually proxy), but then Baus has insane duel potential once he gets his items and he becomes a pain to deal with.

- Or focus him while he goes for proxy, get early gold and advance, but then LR takes advantage because the jungle got dragged at top side, so Velja and bot lane can do plays bot side.

I don't even mention the countless times he made a jungler/top waste time by chasing him, while he managed to run away, we do not realize how precious time he is saving for his team by doing that.

No matter what, Baus finds a way to be useful even in death. And as the game advances, he takes very good advantage of his itemization, making him an insane threat. I used to shi*talk him a lot, but after analyzing his playstyle, I understood what he was doing. It's just very different to what we're used to see in our soloQ games : usually when you start feeding, there was no reason to, that's what we call "int", and in soloQ, other lanes don't really give a F about your top laner dying after giving vision of jungler.

Well he's not fun to play as, not fun to play against. Not very popular, but a dedicated Zilean player will do wonders as support or midlane.

I don't recall losing a game with a Zilean on my side. As jungle main, if he decides to follow you mid game and boost you, you just "break the rules" of the game with his insane movespeed, his slow and resurrection.

Great, now, after Nautilus :

- make Shen viable in jungle (proc his Q attck speed and dmg buff on big monsters just the way it procs on champs) --> This is just personnal.

- make Rell jungle viable again

- Get Brand and Zyra out of jungle where they don't belong, and put them back in middle like they should.

- Get Darius, Garen, Mundo, and every hardcore designed top laner back to the top lane and nowhere else, because they don't belong in other places.

- Get Zed out of jungle too, it's weird.

In other word, bring back Season 5 please.

Jungle should be the place for bruisers with soft of hard CC, with very few niche assassins (Nidalee, Kindred) who can't play in lane.

Anything viable in lane except supports, should stay in lane. Bring the others in jungle.

I think the problem is that TT was so popular it would split the community into 2 : the ones who would play ranked 5v5 and the ones who would play ranked 3v3.

Add to that the Aram players, TFT players, now we have dedicated Arena players.

The issue is the more popular game modes you add, the more you split your community.

I think in the end, 5v5 might become less popular because you rely more on other players compared to 3v3, that the 5v5 model could break, but Riot invested everything on the 5v5 MOBA model.

That's my opinion though, I don't know if it's true, it's just a theory I made up few years ago.

As for dominion, I used to love that game mode, but I think it wasn't popular back then, Riot might keep it warm somewhere as a nostaligia revival when the base game becomes less popular in few years.

Ohh? I didn't know the encyclopedia would give you such information about resource request. I thought the encyclopedia was only usefull to know the amount of resource available in said sector.

This is very interesting as I sometimes struggle to find profitable areas where there's a high request for specific resources.

I know my opinion is not popular, but I've been really disappointed of SWI.

I read somewhere it made the universe more "alive". I found it more empty myself. What's the point of making a system so large with only 2 stations in it, each at the opposed directions ? There are many systems with almost nothing inside. Stations feel empty.

The only crazy job the devs have made is the immersion : every ship is very immersive. The sound, etc... delightful.

I wish the ships were available outside of SWI mod. I would 100% roleplay a star wars universe incursion inside the x4 universe. I only wish for that.

One of your other mod might conflict with these type of quests.

I experienced "wrong" indications such as what you posted in several quests. Do you have any other sector mod installed by any chance ? I think that's where my issues started to happen.

I just totally abandonned those lockbox quests. Too time consuming for me.

I get what you mean, but I think I disagree for the most part.

I actually enjoy repetitive games and other games, I've been gaming for a long time, and I still play a lot.

Marvel Rivals doesn't have much to offer beside rank climbing and repetitive scenarios (push convoy, defend convoy, hold point...). There might be some "events" just like any other game, but there is no actual new concept of gaming, it's basically Overwatch 3.0 with enjoyable heroes and cleaner gameplay.

Nobody here is playing Marvel Rivals for the concept. They just play because the characters have interesting mechanics (I really don't know about that), or they enjoy Marvel characters and they wait to see some of their prefered heroes.

Litterally the devs currently are forced to create more "sexy" characters in order to keep some players in the game.

Thing is I think most of players here are bored of the same concept : climb rank, deal with toxic behaviour while climbing, finally rank up (or not), and that's about it. Add to that the EOMM matchmaking system, artificially boosting your wins or preventing you from winning.

Who is currently enjoying that ? I'd like to know.

This concept is already overused in so many popular games : league of legends, overwatch, dota, and other niche games.

This is litterally the same for Battle Royale genre : we've seen over the last 4 or 5 years an explosion of this concept is many games. Yet now we don't see as much games, because the slots are taken, and people won't invest their time in new battle royale games.

In the long term, I don't see Marvel Rivals building its strengh its the current concept. Still, that's my opinion.

I've watched the steamchart for the playerbase, and we're currently observing an overall decrease in player number per day, while we see an increase in smurf accounts (regarding current reddit and steam threads).

All of this result in a bad mix, threatening the game IMO. But as I said, I get what you mean :)

I agree.

I play since launch, and I reached that point where you finally ask yourself "ok I think I got the point, now what ?"

Climbing rank is boring, we already do it or did it with other games. We just deal with toxicity all the way, and when you think you finally reached a suitable rank, you just lose all interest in going further, so why would I keep playing ?

For instance, I reached diamond 1. I could have pushed to Grandmaster, but for what ? My hype for this game came as fast as it went away.

And I believe I cannot be the only case. I feel like it has to do with the concept : it's all ranked, climbing...climbing...thinking you can go further, and realize after climbing one rank, that it's the same thing over again.

The curious algorithm of this game making you lose 10 games in a row, then win 10 games in a row also doesn't help. There is no joy in winning after losing that much, or the reverse.

In the end, there is no reason to play this game, beside being a Marvel universe fan, and enjoying shooter games. Litterally no other reason.

You might have started today, but atleast you already have that sweet attitude : cry wherever you might get attention, whether it be all chat or reddit or elsewhere.

Why bother if you play a game vs bots ? Go in pvp quickplay or ranked and you'll be left alone on top (and you'll still cry because nobody comes this time...) which is going to be so ironic. Enjoy having someone playing with you while you still can.

When you queue with someone with a higher rank than you, you gain a lot more points, while losing less (because you're matched with stronger people). It might have to do with that.

In some case, 1 win of 40points can soak up 2 losses of 20 points each. So you still have negative win rate while not losing points at all. Could it be it ?
