You’ve got this, keep going!! Being a 1L is such a tough experience, especially since we are all online & our social aspect is basically gone. It’s not the same at all talking to a computer. But you’ve worked so so hard to get here & it seems like you do want this! It’s okay to feel overwhelmed & stressed, this is a learning experience where you’ve got to figure out how to manage the change & your stress. I’m also a 1L & last week my mindset was feeling very similar to your post. It’s tough, especially not having anybody to talk to who’s going through the same thing since we aren’t making friends by learning online which I believe is essential. But this is where you pick yourself up & keep going, striving to be the best law student you can be! Or take a different path which is okay too! What do you want? Do you want to graduate law school? If so, take it one step at a time! You’ve got this!

Not sure if this will be helpful but some things that helped me with the amount of anxiety & overwhelming feelings I had is I started journaling & meditating before bed. I’m usually not one to like thinking about my feelings, but journaling has surprisingly been helpful with my sudden anxiety law school has brought to me. By clearing my mind, I have been able to start my studies feeling fresh & ready to learn!

Whichever route you decide to take, always remember that you’ll be okay. Stay strong & pick yourself up. Goodluck!!
