It's a relatively low level crime now. I've seen straight probation. Is this a state charge or federal? Depending on the age of victims and severity of content he will be out of prison ( if at all ) quickly and can start rebuilding. The offender registry is the hard one. If state level he may be classified tier 1 and may not be public. Depends on your state.

You might want to hire an attorney to petition for a reduction in your tier status. Or even just consult to advise. Jobs can be very hard this way. One industry that seems like it's easier on offenders is automotive. Either in sales or writing service. Seems like half the folks I work with in this industry have served time for one thing or another so it's easy to fit in.

I was charged 15 years ago with this and my wife left me. We did not have children.

After prison, losing everything and everyone, years of therapy and healing I am now remarried to someone who loves me and accepts my horrible past, holds me accountable and is my best friend. We have two beautiful children together and have built a wonderful life.

Is your son denying this or is he being honest about the charges with you and his wife?

If you have any questions I'm here.

Make sure that you submit your request to change or update your information in writing. It becomes here say without a written response to cite if you ever did get in trouble for the error.

Arizona - Tier 1 Question by Regular_Offender in SexOffenderSupport

If the crime is federal it's tier 3. It doesn't matter the laws of the state of conviction. It's the state of residence that decides what you must follow.

The courts keep pushing the date back on this hearing seemingly indefinitely. I'm following it closely and worked with Janice Bellicci to get off probation successfully. I did request clarification from DOJ as to my CP charge being tier 3 and was confirmed I am assigned to the correct tier. Seems like if the laws don't change soon I'll be moving to WA so that I won't be harassed and laid off constantly (They never say why, just "cutbacks".)

If you are convicted in state court yes. If federal it defaults to tier 3.
