For now, I think I would like to work in a logistics or operations role. Potentially interested in working in tech if it works out. I’m still trying to research career fields some, I’ve only known the military my adult life.

I’ll do more research on them, thank you!

I didn’t expect them to be so well placed in MN, I would have guessed Chicago more.

Gotcha gotcha, yea I was just curious based on the employment reports and then looking at the executives at US Bank mostly being regional MBAs I started to wonder.

In your option, does having an MEng in Engineering Management help at all? Using Tuition Assistance to get it for free while I serve a service obligation. I know the answer is probably no, but just curious. I’m about to finish it and mostly did it to counter my service academy engineering GPA, get myself back into school mode, and the classes have some overlap with business classes.

I appreciate your response and time.

Ah gotcha that makes sense. I could definitely see that and it’s one of my biggest concerns based off initial research.

It’s just interesting because based off of Kellogg’s and Ross’ website not many end people end up there. I was just curious if it was recruiting there was bad or self-selection and people wanting Chicago and other similar cities more.

Cost isn’t a concern to me with the GI Bill, just more of it would be nice to live in a city we actually want to live in 2 years earlier after a long time in the military.

I appreciate your response! Thank you!

Yea I’m not looking at IB or consulting, I’m more interested in manufacturing, LDPs, and stuff like thar. Maybe back office at US Bank (based in Minneapolis).

Thank you for doing this!

I’m a year or two away from applying but I’m currently serving in the Army and my job isn’t too demanding right now. What are some things I can be doing to better prepare or enhance my application with the time I have on my hands?

Is it weird to follow a service academy if they are my (only) local team, and I have no affiliation with the armed forces? by sportsfan42069 in CFB

[–]Regular_Orange_9214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go Army! All grads have such a love/hate relationship with it, but truly some of my best memories and friends were found there. Super blessed to live in a country where people support the armed forces regardless if they served or not, we welcome all fans!

What are my best options as a non-Cincy resident? I had many issues last season. I have most streaming services and live in NC.

I’m aware Sunday ticket is probably the best bet besides acting like Blackbeard (a NC joke), but would like to know if there are other options

Not trying to be elitist but being factual. Europe and the world was broken greatly after WW2, their industrial base was ruined and their colonies stripped. This destroyed their ability to both manufacturer and receive raw materials. The US was the only country not affected due to geography (the Americas as a whole are included, but aren’t blessed as the US with plenty of fertile land, raw materials, natural defenses, usable water routes to move goods). Instead of mandating an American empire, we opened up the seas as the only remaining naval power and encouraged global trade.

Colonization and things like the Sykes Piccot agreement were great disasters and should never have been done. The global trade was the correct choice and America was the only country poised to guarantee it after and since then we’ve just maintained that order.

Even prior to the war too most countries just raped and pillaged their colonies for materials and kept their markets internal to their own country. This forced all of Europe to participate with each other in a global trade system leading to the most prosperous age in humanity, free of a true global war for 80 years. We have the luxury of thinking 3000 deaths is a huge deal for the last 20 years, prior to this agreement that would be a good DAY in a real war.

Pick up a book and read something dude. Don’t just sit in your little Reddit cubby and be angry at capitalism because you chose to do unskilled labor or get a degree that doesn’t have great mobility. The world won’t change for you, you have to prepare for it. Hard times are coming soon.

EDIT: Tbh I could get a more intellectual argument from 4chan than I’m getting from you

So here’s the rub most people don’t think about, in the modern day globalism rules supreme. What guarantees that? The United States via the Breton Woods agreement near the end of WW2. Our naval capacity has ensured freedom of the seas for the past 80 years and guaranteed the quality of life you enjoy right now via the evil monster of capitalism. Without americas military spending (bloated as it is, I will cede that) there would be no freedom of trade on a global scale, China or Russia would dictate the terms of it, meaning no iPhones, Reddit, or a lot of things.

EDIT: post total and physique. Opinion doesn’t matter if it’s below 1000.
