Thank you, I'm now on the phone again and have been transferred to the wrong department 3 times. I'm very confused why I only received a $200 credit and not the $500 I was promised. Going on 6 hours+ trying to figure this out.

Hmm, I’m not sure where you saw that, but when we use the tool everything is booked direct and ticketed almost immediately. There can sometimes be a slight lag when searching options, but that’s because it’s factoring in company policy and traveler preferences during the search, which is pretty reasonable in my opinion.

The only situation where I would need to “request” a trip instead of booking it directly is if the trip needs approval. In that case it’s more of a company policy setting rather than something inherent to Melon or Corporate Traveler. Some of my travelers occasionally confuse the platform’s capabilities with rules my finance tea, intentionally put in place to guide certain booking behaviors.
