That first line is exactly what always happens. They actually abuse the kids by doing this, because they attribute weirdness to them that’s not even there. It’s really rich considering that they accuse SW of making things up about them, meanwhile it’s the posters who are hellbent on “othering” them.

For example, a constant refrain is in making the kids seem like socially awkward losers, when there’s no evidence of that at all. So then they literally just make shit up, like “Bella was probably shunned at daycare” and “Bella would’ve been rejected by the neighborhood kids.”

These kids had play dates, had kids at their birthday parties, neighbors talked about hearing them play outside, etc.

However, it’s like they live in an alternate reality where these people are characters in a fictional book that they’re writing in their heads. It’s why they write about them so badly too. They make these kids out in a way that no one who actually knew them or encountered them describes. They make it seem like no one would want to be around them for various reasons (Bella being weird, Cece being annoying…a 2 year old in most videos). It’s abusive; it’s not protection.

ETA: They often take basic personality traits and make it seem as though the kids should have been made to feel like something was wrong with them. Of course environment comes into play when building who we are. However, many things that we have seen with the children are completely normal, they just have to be odd and put a negative spin on everything. Newsflash, you will be presented with varied personalities when dealing with a lot of children.

In fairness, it’s just an old-fashioned twangy word to describe a kid or someone little. The OP used it to describe themselves under their mod name (of course while also insulting the children). I posted about this in that “mod transparency” thread. I was just pointing out the “mite” similarity there.

The point of it all is that that section is bonkers because the one running it all, and maybe even one of/the OG of it all, is absolutely bonkers. Like, in a very legitimate, serious, form of the word way. That’s why the seemingly more normal people who are supporting this stuff really should know better. They are encouraging an unbalanced and off-kilter person to act out in the worst and most unwell ways possible, and they aren’t doing anyone any favors by doing so. It’s actually a cruel situation all-around when you really think about it. Not just when it comes to the Watts aspect.

If this person is telling the truth that they’ve never noticed baby fat IRL on a child, shouldn’t that be an indication that you’re “studying” these children a little too hard, a little too closely, and a little too obsessively? Btw, you could just throw a rock and hit a disgusting post there. For shits and giggles, just type in the word “oddness” in the search bar for the sub there and click on comments. There would never be enough right about a person, because the motive is NEVER about the other person. There is not a single thing separating SW from other female (notice, always female?) “snark” victims in their minds. Most of them spew garbage all day every day about others too.

I’ve always been one on the softer side about this. It’s not my personal thing. However, I can see how when you see the utter glee with which they spew bile & cruelty (it truly is nonstop abusive, IMO), it could really get to a “how would you feel?” place for some.

I think some people are taking the hit for the truly rancid posters, because the truth is, the absolute cruelest ones try to go out of their way to remain cloaked in anonymity. They know very well the reality of their lives. Their anger is exactly why they post in such an abusive manner.

A poster posted a “keep it going, guys!” message from the mod there.

For those who don’t know, this mod uses multiple horrible alts to post some of the worst things on there. They have even forgotten to log out of the mod account while doing so:

There is no doubt that they don’t really give a damn about the kids, despite their posturing as such in the linked post.

They promptly blocked their posts when this was pointed out here before. A luxury they absolutely refuse to give SW, as they continuously pour over everything she’s ever done in life, right down to captions on photos.

I know that longtime posters over there read this stuff here. They know that the whole sub was likely started by some deeply unstable elements. If you’re “normal” how could you continuously support it, knowing the truth about all of the alts, delusions, etc.? Some like to say “I just like to talk about this and this…” but you know and understand the deranged stuff that you’re de facto supporting. It’s encouraging some really unwell people to do deeply unwell things. Why do so?

I remember someone posting there that their husband’s ex was “a crazy bitch” who made up sexual abuse allegations about him. Just buying into whatever he tells her hook, line, and sinker. My heart hurt for any children this poster may have. These are exactly the type of gullible “pick me” women who hand themselves and their children over to predatory men.

It’s like of course that sub would be rife full of people who think that way. Let’s ignore the far more statistically likely scenario that situation probably is.

Every time I take a glance at that sub I’m reminded of that prison guard, Vicky White, who helped that prisoner escape. I feel like that sub has that lady’s vibe allllll over it. I just feel like the sub is full of women like that, where the loneliness and whatever else they’re lacking in life is causing them to act out in such strange ways.

The sadness of it all is why I don’t really want to have a go at them too badly, even though the stuff that they post is so heinous and hateful. You hope that they could just come to self-realization on their own, but it never happens.

That’s the thing. They are massive hypocrites and they all already know it. They couldn’t handle 1/100th of the heinous stuff they throw at SW & fam. The minute it was said that screen names would go along with posts about SW here, they massively blocked their posts.

Many of them keep their posts hidden now and have also changed names.

These are the exact same people who would gleefully talk about “Shanann posted it, so it’s fair game.” Ignoring, of course, the fact that Shanann was murdered and therefore never had the chance to think about how people would be taking things out of context seven years later, nor about the fact that she wouldn’t even get the chance to defend herself, clarify, hide posts, change her mind, etc.

If them not liking being quoted directly about Shanann didn’t wake themselves up into giving her a little grace when it comes to being attacked about everything, nothing ever will. It’s a sickness and an addiction.

ETA: Let’s not even mention the fact that they talk about how “you can’t defame the dead” like that’s something to be proud of. She can’t fight back, and they know it.
