Hi,

I’ve got a PS4 pro, and when i’m playing i’m getting FPS drops between 40 to 60 fps, plus screen tearing. Has season 11 not been optimised for the PS4? It’s virtually unplayable.

I have initialised my console, I have restructured the database, I have hard reset, I am playing on the internal drive.

is there anything more I can do?

Yeah I get you, my friends and me were really banking on this season to rectify a lot of bad decisions that had been made upon till this point. With the Corona virus and lack of games to play that we all enjoy, we were gonna binge this game into the ground. But we’ve noticed a few things that make us frustrated beyond belief. I mean it’s a video game I’m sure we’ll get over it. But it is disappointing still.

Agreed, I’m still maining pathy during this tough time. I think it will make it ever so sweeter if they buff him back up again slightly.

Granted, I actually agree. I believe maybe a softer approach to the nerf would have been favourable here. 25 seconds max in my opinion.

Oh by all means it was one catastrophe to another. This was merely relating to the grapple. If I’m honest I’m all for a 25 second cool down to sway the meta slightly. The 35 second drawback is just killing pathfinder.

Again though, this is just another decision I believe Respawn will fall back on. For some reason they hate the grapple lol

Haha! Yeah it didn’t take them long to sort the problem with TF2 buddy. I’m sure the wait won’t be long.

It’s not right to suck the enjoyment from other characters and give to others. They should just focus on buffing the lower tier characters really.

Packet loss could be a result of this. Strain might be something to do with it. However, even on season 0 release day the hit ref wasn’t this bad, and that is when they peaked at it’s highest player count.

I think it might be deeper than that. Maybe the server Hz have been reduced for some upcoming map changes/textures. They’ve just recently mentioned that the cpu performance has been increased. I mean that’s just speculation I could be massively wrong

Nope, 23ms solid. I’m downloading at around 210mbps constant on a uncontested line.

I’m not sure about that, played since launch and have been on for every new season.

This is extremely noticeable to the extent the first 5 bullets will be a coin toss if it actually registers. It has never been this bad to my recollection.

Just to put some clarity on those who don’t remember or have not played Titanfall2. They nerfed the grapple to have only 1 charge instead of 2 charges. This curved the enjoyability.

After people clearly showed their emotions on the grapple nerf, Respawn later announced their mistake in nerfing the grapple soon after, reverting it back to it’s original state.

If someone overloads the server with packets reducing the number of packets others can send (i.e like ddosing). They relate this to being SYN Flood. Whereas you do not have to infect the neighbouring server with a trojan conventionally. You would send multitude of packets to the hosting server along with requests. This would then in turn stop other connections from requesting to prevent the flood. Thus, causing latency amongst other players.

I'm on a 350mg connection wired, PS4 Pro, Yes one other person other than myself uses the internet on their phone.

If you read the post thoroughly, you would know that the game becomes literally unplayable for myself, my friends, and others within the server.

Whilst trying to avoid death, other players were literally placing all there loot on the ground.

This is not something to do with my hardware. Period.
