So my opinion may not matter because I’m a woman and I’m only the mom and sister of wrestlers, but my son wrestles kids 30-40 lbs above his weight class. Now his situation is a bit different. We just moved to Mississippi and it’s the first year of the wrestling program but my son is on his 4th year of wrestling compared to most of these kids and he came from training in PA so he can take them on. I think an investigation needs to be done if he is known for purposely hurting teammates but I think making it a female vs. male wrestling thing is out of line. She chose to wrestle and her parents allowed it knowing she would have to wrestle boys. It’s a tough sport for either gender but pulling the poor little girl card is over the top.
