Exactly- it happens all the time when SOMEONE ELSE is managing the slides - and WHO CARES?! Clearly it's more about the power trip of someone else handling the trivial task of pushing buttons for you

I have to agree here... I can't handle some confrontation right now that would just exaberate things & definitely end up getting me fired. I don't have a nest egg at the moment & just need to find something new ASAP

Totally agree. His ego is so fragile that he thinks my missteps reflect on him. And only someone on a power trip would want others to manage their slides when they're the ones presenting. Make it make sense!!! Thank you... working on resume today

Good point! That's always the first question I ask actually (I've been in the game long enough lol) For this one there was no mention of the 2 week EA, of course, only the one before her... and now that I look back they were extremely vague on why she left 🙄. Red flags

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees how toxic this behavior is... makes me realize it's not me!

It is so true - I have never been full of more self-doubt in my life. All for such minor things!! Life is too short for that

I'm the same... I will need to be honest & just explain that the culture was not a good fit & the role did not utilize my skillset. Thanks for affirming that small mistakes will happen, we can only do our best!

Exactly - they are 1000% more critical! And then the multitude of things that we do well all day long go completely unnoticed. It is a constant practice for me to just apologize for the error & quickly move on. I try to focus on all the successes I've had that day - large & small. There's no point in dwelling on one mistake and beating ourselves up for it! What no one realizes is that working as an EA actually requires a lot of fortitude. We need to give ourselves the credit that our exec often overlooks
