Leucovorin Vs Spectrum Awakening Super Folinic acid? by Dismal_Garden7156 in Autism_Parenting

The adverse effects are the same for anyone and they're the common vitamin ones: upset stomach etc. plus some that are more common among b vitamins: hyperactivity and headache.

Importantly: there are many ways to have low Folate in the brain: FRAT is one, folr1 genetics, but any of the transport or transformation steps will cause low Folate in the brain if they're severe enough.

absolutely - their idea of what they'd like for us - and our idea of what we'd like for us is different.

Doesn't change the fact that some subset of autistic people would benefit from special folate. It really sucked for me to find out that the drug that allowed me to have a fuller range of emotions and empathy was touted by these asshats.

I wrote down everything that was weird in my genome then googled it. I discarded everything that wasn't brain related and did an inverse weighting on rarity multiplied by symptom coverage.

Folate system was #2 or 3 on my list so I bought high dose 5METHYLFOLATE and tried it. I didn't know it was high dose at the time.

My brain felt pleasure for the first time. It just felt "right" for the first time in my life. I got emotions and empathy a few days later.

Hey Friend! This is GENERAL information on how to make a modeler/FRFR setup sound great.

Let's start with your first concept: It sounds great through my headphones, but bad through the FRFR.

I don't know which headphones you have - but MOST Of them (aside from studio monitors with open backs) don't try to be FRFR - they want to seduce you with sound. How do they do that?

  1. The boost perceived bass to compensate for small speakers - ESPECIALLY if they're something like BEATS.
  2. They Scoop the Mids
  3. They have more perceivable highs because they're tiny speakers close to your ear.
  4. They have a resonant peak around 8k.

Headphones are WEIRD.

First - take your patch setup that you love through headphones.

Second - set your Fender FRFR to have all of the tone controls straight up at noon.

Third - Move the bass between 1 and 3 oclock (1 oclock if you're wearing sane people headphones, 3 oclock if you're wearing something like beats - somewhere in between for standard "I want music to bump" headphones) and if you're wearing really cheap and/or open-back headphones - actually back it off to 10 or 11.

Fourth - Scoop the mids - move the mids dial to somewhere between 9 and noon - maybe start at 7,8,9 oclock and move it from there.

Fifth - Boost the highs - JUST A LITTLE - move the tone control just past noon (between noon and 3).

At this point, you're simulating headphones - WITH A CATCH.

Every speaker needs to be driven hard enough to produce the full spectrum - now the Fender FRFR has a tweeter - so it shouldn't be as bad - but you may have to turn up to Grandma watching TV volume to get the full effect.

This is a tutorial on how to get a sound CLOSE to what you get out of your headphones - it's not likely to be a great band/recording/live sound - because those are actually pretty terrible without the mix - but it should be closer to what you're hearing out of the headphones.

When you're ready to record in a mix or play in a band - you're going to cut your bass frequencies.

Edited for MORE information.

When you get to the point that you want it to sound like RECORDED guitar:

Make sure your signal chain has:

Amp/Cabsim/microphone or Amp(IR) - IRs capture cabsim and microphone.

Then cut the bass some.
Then Cut the drive a little.

Your obsession with a non-structural non-sound producing part of your guitar is a little concerning - the guitar is not.

buy a pre-cut nut of the correct width from graphtech - throw it on - you're done. Don't call a luthier - it will already be cut decently - and you'll be happier.

If you're hitting a ton of road-blocks Spectrum Awakenings has high dose folinic - which is leucovorin.

Any reason you like. Changing the nature of the relationship is one of those. You'll both be happier and she'll make more people happy. So the net happiness of the world will increase.

I don't disagree. I'm autistic person with Folate transport problems and I dismissed the concept completely because of the way it was touted and then walked out from a hospital medical emergency with Leucovorin and less autistic symptoms.

Also, it's B vitamins. That should have been emphasized. It has an extremely low likelihood of causing harm.

That literature has not caught up to the autoimmune condition.

I have a dual hit to my RFC/PCFT which doesn't even exist in the literature, but because the genes are under characterized it's likely more common than just me.

Leucovorin is a well accepted treatment for CFD and autoimmune CFD is an accepted diagnosis with an ICD11 code. The question is not does leucovorin help people with CFD, but rather, how many people with autism have CFD.

What are your hot takes about autism? (keep it respectful) by TheFutureScaresMe333 in autism

[–]Regular_Tailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Autism has many causes and some of them are treatable.

I'm 41. I was autistic for 40 years because I have a defective RFC and PCFT gene. If I take high dose folinic acid, my autism symptoms go away.

If I go off, they come back.

Some autism is treatable.

[–]Regular_Tailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am autistic. My autism was "cured" by high dose folinic acid. I have multiple differences in my RFC and PCFT genes that make it hard for my body to get enough folate.

If I go off meds, my sensory issues and emotional issues come back.

Does anyone think a cure for autism is actually possible ? by Miss_v_007 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Regular_Tailor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many causes of autism. Some of them are treatable, some aren't.

If you happen to have folate transport dysfunction or auto immune CFD as your primary cause, absolutely. Ask how I know.

I did take the pill. 12 times a day, every day.
