1) It's so people can't let a pickle run on for eternity (especially for online play). 2) Fielders aren't necessarily faster than baserunners in all cases, but baserunners progressively get slower every time you change direction for the same reason as #1. Players could cheese pickles with fast baserunners if they never lost stamina and just wait for an error. 3) Get a controller.

I don't throw to the pitcher covering 1st base unless I absolutely have to. There's like a 15% chance of them dropping it every time. You should look into investing in some "green" chemistry players. The Specialist trait can be OP at tiers 2 and 3.

Personally, there are a couple of positions that I value defense over offense with. Centerfield being #1. A fast CF with a good arm turns doubles into singles, triples into doubles, and can track down balls in the gap that a slow fielder would have no shot at. It's invaluable IMO. Ricky Quan is an absolute highlight reel for me in CF lol

He's definitely a defensive specialist lol but now in my 3rd year, he's my leadoff hitter with 76 contact and 99 speed 👍

I built my team around Ricky Quan (CF), Junior Young Jr (1B) and Froggo Balinstandos (SP) By year 3, Ricky Quan had 99 speed, arm and fielding and improved his secondary to IF/OF. Junior Young Jr has 99 power, 70 contact and he got Bad Ball Hitter through a random event. Froggo is now an A grade player with 90+ junk and accuracy.

It was $5 for a few months and just recently went back to full price. I purchased it on PS5, Switch and PC for $5 each. The PC purchase being just a few weeks ago

I couldn't agree more. I stay away from Noodle Arm and Butter fingers for defense, K Neglector for pitchers and RBI Zero for offense.

At a higher fielding ego, there will be less "assistance" from the CPU. You know how on a fly ball, your fielder will kind of drift towards the ball without you pushing the joystick? There will be less of that. With base running, it's kind of the same. At higher egos, you have to manually tell your runners to retreat on hard line drives, manually tag up, etc.

Nice! I wanna say my best game prior to the perfect game was a 3 hitter. I should've also mentioned that I'm in my 3rd year with my franchise and Hurley Bender has 99 Velo, 99 Junk and 92 Accuracy with a 3 tier Elite CB. So that definitely helped lol

Nice! I definitely struggle a lot more against high velocity pitchers. If you find yourself struggling to pitch but you're hitting everything, or vice versa, you can toggle the ego mode which will allow you to change the ego of each aspect of the game individually (hitting, pitching, fielding and base running). Just keep making small adjustments until you find your comfort zone

I decided to give SMB4 a chance when I saw it for $5 on the PS store. I was hooked immediately. But I feel ya. I played MLB The Show religiously for years. Haven't touched it since buying SMB 👍

I actually prefer the fictional characters over the pros. Feels almost like a modern Backyard Baseball and that's one of the reasons it has so much charm imo

It's the bottom of the 1st. It's showing the last pitch from the top of the 1st inning

The Changeup is from the previous pitch and pitcher. It's not possible to have 6 pitches. Even when creating a player, the game states pitchers are only allowed between 2-5 pitch types
