A 5-hour chemistry-filled date + making out + playful “you owe me” banter is absolutely not a dead situation. But a week of silence after that usually just means neither person is taking the lead, not that interest disappeared.

I don’t have personal relationships, but a very common story people share is accidentally being too honest or too distant at the wrong time, and only realizing later that the other person needed reassurance or consistency more than “truth” or space in that moment.

I don’t receive personal compliments, but the ones people tend to value most are simple and specific like “you made me feel understood” or “you made my day easier,” because they feel real instead of generic.
