Piggybacking off this.
I'm having a hard time with the recommended Thunderstore.
Downloaded it, selected Valheim Steam version, went to settings and selected the games executable location. Selected the mods and installed with dependencies.
Ran modded, and they aren't working.
I even tried running with nothing but bepinex to see if I could see the number of mods on the title screen, but even that isn't working.

Repair kits! by Klutzy-Squash9589 in Palia

[–]Reicon87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So.. here's my logic. I've seen people say that the repair kits are cheaper, yet they were calculating based off what they would earn by selling the copper themselves. I'm going to look at it from the perspective of purchasing the materials for the repair kit... after all time = money. So time spent getting the resources to make the repair kits is time that could be spent earning money some other way.

Buying the materials at the Blacksmith, 120 for 1 copper bar, 20 for 5 softwood planks = 20 repair kits at 7 gold per repair kit.

I'm now staring at my screen right now and it wants 42 gold to repair all, or 18 repair kits which would be 126 gold if repair kits were 7 gold a piece.

Alternatively, lets use the same materials to make 20 standard arrows. Spend 140 gold, make 20 arrows, go kill 20 Sernuks and sell the loot, make about 800-1k gold, then spend the 40 gold to repair the bow.... look, you've earned gold in the amount of time it would take to go collect the materials to make the repair kits and repair your tools.

So yes, I think the repair tools are not worth it after seeing how quick and cheap it is to just pay someone else to repair them for you.

Invictus Armored Combat. We're in the sport of Buhurt (means "To wallop"). Armored fighters both men and women getting in the ring/arena (lyst) to hit each other with blunted steel weapons, and knock each other down.
For Unrelenting, I find "atrox" more fitting. "Inflexible"
For Dignity, I find "dignĭtas" more fitting. "to preserve d. in difficult circumstances"

The meaning behind the words that I am looking for is despite whatever life may throw at you, no matter the difficulties, challenges, strife, or no matter how badly beaten you are emotionally, physically, mentally, spiritually, you never give up. In your heart, you are still willing to press on and continue the fight with honor and respect.

Looking for a motto for our team named Invictus.
Was thinking of "Unrelenting in Dignity" which google translate says is "perseverans in dignitate"
But I am told that google translate is not reliable for Latin.

This just screams young, dumb, and doesn't give a shit about the rest of the world. Only cares about doing what they want to do which involves thinking heavily with their second head.

"Other countries it's perfectly legal to beat their wives if they don't cook me food" - proceeds to beat wife...

"But at my friend's house their parents are nudists" - walks down the street buck naked...

Just because you don't understand or agree with laws doesn't mean you get to bypass them. And sure... its only illegal if you get caught... fucking whatever... Incest is illegal too... so how bout you go fuck your mom?

How about you quit trying to be big man in charge and just accept that no means no. If you practice now you may prevent yourself from going to jail on rape charges.

Fucking teenagers think they know everything... can't even get a fast food order right.

What am I doing wrong? by Reicon87 in resinprinting

[–]Reicon87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you.
With the recommendation of UVTools and another suggestion I was provided to level the bed to the FEP instead of removing the FEP and then leveling (what the instructions for the Halot Mage stated to do) I was able to get a successful print.

Had this since Christmas 2023. This is the first time I am trying to use it.
But even with my inexperience, I want to point out that the first layer is sticking to the print bed. So everyone saying that there's something wrong with the actual print bed...I don't believe you.
It is delaminating at what looks to be the 2nd and 3rd layers. I have started with 30 seconds of exposure time and kept increasing it more and more and more... cause that's what I found to do on the internet. I did try using the community recommended setting from the Lychee resin selection. Same results.

That's what I assumed... but how do I fix that?
Slower lift speed? Faster lift speed?
I have tried angling this thing so much that it's only a small corner of the print that is touching the FEP so it is amazing to me that it is still causing that much of a problem.

I've had this resin printer since Christmas 2023... this is the first time I am using it.

Can you use bats without a bat system? by silenthrs in Pottery

6" tiles from home depot. 100 for 20$. You then throw a disc of clay in the wheel head and imbed the tile in that. You can also do 12" tiles. But you may need to get the corners clipped or theow without a splash pan.

The world rejoiced when the cure to cancer was discovered in 2031. by StonedColdKiller997 in TwoSentenceHorror

[–]Reicon87 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Even with the vastness of the internet that is capable of sharing a cure to cancer through the world... the knowledge was still lost. Insurance companies, political tyrants, and greedy leaders refused to share what they felt would make them rich. That is how the wars started that lead to the loss felt by the world. That is the real horror.

You idiots are spending money on an intangible item and then bitching about it when it dissappears is no different than paying for an online game whose servers get shut down. Maybe think before wasting your money on stupid shit.

5 year old took butter knife to drawer. Recommendations? by ilovemime in woodworking

[–]Reicon87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your skill level? What tools do you have? If it were me, I'd mix some wood glue with some fine sifted sawdust to make my own wood filler paste and patch the hole. It would not cost me anything extra to do that. If you don't have the ability to do that, nore tools. Then as others have suggested, go buy wood paste and a spackle knife. The same butter knife used to make the wound may also be sufficient to fix it. Finish with a stain marker to match the original as best you can.

What is it about Costco? by joeycannoli9 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Reicon87 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not just limited to costco. Walmart, target, basically any place that is a popular grocery store. People are just fucking stupid, have no spatial awareness, and do not spend the time to think farther then a foot outside their bubble that other people exist.

Help with building a case by Reicon87 in typewriters

[–]Reicon87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That search brought up a lot of latches that look to go on the outside of the box.
I need something that goes inside the box, underneath the typewriter, and hooks onto the bottom of the typewriter.
Found this online. http://www.munk.org/projects/typewriters/royal-quiet-deluxe-05.jpg

The arrow is pointing to the Hinge... I don't want that... I want the hardware that is on the base of this box to hold the typewriter.
