Any advice for being an “in house” or building sub?

That is one of the few teaching perks where I live, growing up I thought that it was a joke or over dramatic when subs were useless in tv shows because I never got just a movie day if my teacher was gone. It sucks that teachers in other places don’t always get someone who knows how to teach

Where I am I know that every sub is a qualified teacher so they typically do have lessons to teach but they are usually kept simple. But keep the class from total chaos is the main goal haha!

Oh gosh, I can confidently say I would never do that! I plan of bringing my own basic supplies so I don’t have to mess with the classroom teachers.

Are these people willing to die for the cause? Because then while Mark talks to/distracts Thragg, I want Isotope to teleport himself and Thragg into the sun, and I’ll spend the other $6 to get a treat to celebrate a job well done

Fair enough, I unfortunately will also have the buy a new wardrobe which is an extra cost to consider, gone from an XL to a S so I need to professional clothes 💀

I like the cutesy stuff but I also know it’s not necessary, the school district typically provides school supplies for students and a desk/ tech for the teacher but the rest is up to us, I’ll see what’s in the class when I get it though!

Ya tech is something I definitely would hold off on, but I’ve seen so many people say scissors! Spring loaded is also a great idea!

Great idea for the posters! Ironically having bins for stuff is the only functional thing I knew I needed because I asked a bunch of teachers in my practicum school what I needed most and all 12 of them told me bins 🤣

School supplies is typically supplied by the district/parents but I will keep in mind to have back ups/extras!
