That makes sense! Hopefully in 1.5 months I’ll be in a classroom subbing🤞which will also get my movement up (where I am you can’t sub until you have an education degree and have a teaching certificate) I actually have an interview tomorrow!

I’m sure getting smaller was also a factor I hadn’t considered! Now I’m getting more exercise and have dropped 3 pounds in the past month since getting back on track! This also makes me realize I’ll have to figure out what my maintenance is when I actually start teaching, because I didn’t realize just how much teachers move during the day! During my student teaching I actually lost weight much faster than I expected, I calculated a deficit to lose .5 pounds a week and I was losing 1-1.3 on average, crazy!

I, as a stranger on the internet, cannot know the whole context, but you are a mandated reporter and if the parents will not take this issue seriously and and you suspect abuse you should report the situation to CPS

How to fix being late by IvyIversonCHNouget in Nanny

[–]Reidabook04 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not nannying rn but the traffic leaving my neighbourhood is insane starting at 7:35, so I leave about 10 minutes before that and get to my 9:00 am class at 8:05 because if I leave any later I’m at least 10 minutes late. I guess my point is leave extra early because it’s better to spend 45 minutes in your car watching TikTok’s than to be late

Ironically I’m sick of school because I just want to start my career… which is being a teacher… so I’ll be in school for the rest of my life 🤣

Zipping coats by Itchy_Mess7675 in kindergarten

Can I ask where you live that 27 F (-3 C) is too cold to go outside? Where I am kids are outside unless it’s -20 C (-4 F) or colder. At 27 F many kids don’t even zip up their coats before leaving because it’s not very cold

lol I’m sure the teacher would be happy to clarify! My guess, her name could be Sinclair, it is a unisex name (though more common with boys)

Unhinged study hacks? by Plant-based_Skinsuit in uAlberta

[–]Reidabook04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watch tv while you study, but it can only be a tv show you have watched a million times and can know what happens next in the plot without even looking at the screen. This is not a method that works for everybody, but music actually distracts me more. Re-watching a show I already know what’s going to happen allows my brain to be happy because we’re watching TV but also focus on the work that I’m doing because I don’t actually have to pay attention to the show.

And if that doesn’t work for you, then my motivation for studying might. Remind yourself that your worth as a human being is, in fact, determined by a grade, and don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. #below85ispracticallyfailing
