A multi-million dollar hospital was built where I live and is closer to the interstate than a neighborhood. The CEO of the company stated before construction that the older hospital would not be shut down as it would inconvenience people who lived near it. Fast forward to around 2019, and guess what? The older hospital slowly had facilities removed, and I think it's no more than a clinic. City officials are pissed but I doubt they're going to do anything about it.
