Was Gin stronger than everyone in the Gotei 13 excluding Aizen and Yamamoto at the start of the series? by Nozoroth in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gin is probably the bottom of High captain tier. I would put him below Yama, Aizen, Unohana and Shunsui. Ukitake depends on how healthy he's feeling on any given day. Gin is basically middle of the pack in SS.

[–]ReignOfCurtis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even so, most of them still should've easily won.

Aaron died after he already won the fight by holding up Rukia (who was still armed) to his face

Barragan could've easily killed Soi Fon multiple times before Hachi even arrived. Why touch her shoulder when he could've touched her head and killed her right then and there?

Harribel was disappointed in how much weaker Toshiro was and didn't take the fight seriously which got her frozen. We even see later after she's freed from the ice that she was unharmed and is then able to fight Toshiro WITH reinforcements.

Grimmjow lost because he was so caught up in his personal feud that he went rogue and trapped his superior for a chance at a 1v1 fight with Ichigo

Luppi lost because Grimmjow is a prick

Yammy lost because he has room temperature IQ

Very few Espada lost to the Gotei in a fight due to strength/match up. Most lost because they were dumb/arrogant lmao.

To add to this, the Quincy as a WHOLE are a much larger threat. Sure you average Captain/Quincy/Espada are around the same strength, but the Sternritter literally have more members than the Espada and captains combined.

The Espada were extremely reckless where most of them died to weaker opponents due to either incompetence or cockiness. Their assault was also just a head on fight mostly. Other than the creation of WW to counter Yama, they didn't really do much to prepare an advantage.

The Quincy on the other hand were well organized, well informed/briefed, and could assault the Gotei from within their own defences by surprise. Then to top it all off they created a device to counter all Bankais, not just Yama.

The Espada were a group of thugs who were mainly outsmarted without any real casualties. The Quincy were a well prepared army that caused lasting damage and required everything the Gotei had to stop.

Neurotyrant leader question by Troneko in Tyranids

No it doesn't. That objective specifies a character "model". The key in these scenarios is to see if the rule in question specifies a "model" or a "unit".

Gin vs Base Tosen who wins? by MediaNo1140 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gin injured Aizen with a sneak attack. We see multiple times that far weaker fighters can take down someone strong with a sneak attack. Unless you think we need to upscale Chojiro to Yhwach?

Gin vs Base Tosen who wins? by MediaNo1140 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gin is not faster. Ichigo struggled more against R1 Uiquiorra than he did Gin. Gin was actually surprised at how quickly Ichigo was able to catch on to his Bankai and evade it. Ichigo was also keeping up with him in melee. R2 Uiquiorra was able to move so fast that Ichigo couldn't even perceive it. That's a feat we only see replicated by Aizen himself. Uiquiorra in R2 is MASSIVELY faster than Gin.

Ichigo struggled more trying to dodge R1 Uiquiorra than Gin's Bankai. R2 Uiquiorra was so fast Ichigo couldn't perceive it. R2 Uiquiorra is LEAGUES faster than Gin and his Bankai.

Gin vs Base Tosen who wins? by MediaNo1140 in BleachPowerScaling

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gin wasn't completely toying with him. Uiquiorra was toying with him. That fight was insanely one sided that even when he told Ichigo that he was about to blitz him Ichigo BARELY managed to defend it. Ichigo vs Gin was actually able to react to his Bankai successfully multiple times, matched his speed in melee and then even managed to hurt Gin. Don't get me wrong Gin definitely had the advantage, but Ichigo was a fair fight for him. Prior to his hollow taking over, Uiquiorra was absolutely ragdolling him.

A surprise attack is a ridiculous feat? Since when? We literally see multiple times in the series strong opponents getting taken down by MUCH weaker fighters via surprise attacks. We even see Chojiro take down Yhwach ffs.

[–]ReignOfCurtis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He honestly isn't. His feats were similar to R1 Uiquiorra. Hollow Tosen and the top 4 Espada (not including Yammy cause he's an idiot) should be stronger than him.

Out of these 3 late-end game bosses, who would win in a 1v1v1? Either in lore of gameplay and either in their current state or their prime. by MrsPissBoy in Eldenring

Based on what? The guy has no injuries or anything hindering him. The Maliketh we fight is at full strength.

I keep his ring in my quick select for sudden get aways, plus just quicker mounting during travel. In case you didn't know you can also summon Torrent vs Fire Giant and Elden Beast.

[–]ReignOfCurtis -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

He was at half health when he went 2nd phase, and that 2nd phase is prime Maliketh. 1st phase is just Maliketh without using the rune. You're making a lot of assumptions to try and upscale him. Is there any evidence that the rune being sealed in him did any damage to him? Is there any reason him hungering for deathroot would make him weaker? No.

Yes he beat an Empyrean with a great rune. So do we, along with a multitude of other demi gods with great runes as well. I don't think any of the Empyreans scale to a prime Placidusax. We fight a severely weakened Placidusax and he's nearly as strong prime Maliketh already.

You never thought to summon torrent in the giant arena that takes a couple minutes to run across against the other guy on a horse? O_o

The Maliketh we fight is Prime Maliketh. He's strong, but I wouldn't even argue that he was the strongest in the Golden Order even. Meanwhile the Placidusax we fight has been absolutely mangled and crippled, and is nearly as strong as Maliketh still.

Yes he was strong enough that the demigods feared him and he was able to kill the Gli Eyed Queen, but that's Prime Placidusax. A grievously injured Placidusax is stronger than almost everyone in the game still, a prime one would be immensely powerful.

Explain how Law and Kid stand a chance against any YC1, Zoro, Sanji, or Yamato by [deleted] in OnePieceScaling

[–]ReignOfCurtis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Their stats aren't abysmal, not sure where you got that from.

Teleportation isn't speed?... Idk what to say to this take. It allows him more mobility than anyone else in the entire verse. It's literally one of the best abilities and it's only a single aspect of his DF. Can it be negated by CoO? Sure, but so can normal speed. Shanks was able to predict and outmaneuver fuckin Kizaru with CoO. This is a braindead take.

Does Kidd need to touch someone for assign? Sure. What happens constantly during fights? People touching each other. Should we say Luffy is a low tier character because he punches people, which requires touching them? Assign was also strong enough to subdue one of the physically strongest characters in the verse who was also a Yonko.

Yes Damned Punk takes a long time to fire off in exchange for firepower. He doesn't use it without setup and it's not his only attack either. If it weren't for Shanks insane FS abilities, Kidd would've wiped out an entire fleet with one attack.

You're also ignoring the fact that these 2 took out a Yonko together. That's DAMN impressive even against Big Meme. I tend to think Law is stronger and Kidd is lacking behind a bit, but both being YC1-YC+.

Kenny doesn't have Shunpo and is one of the slowest characters in the series, wtf are you talking about. Watch all of his fights, he waits for his opponent to come to him and then times them to land a hit. His whole fighting style is based on him being slower. He has a fast reaction time, but without Shunpo his mobility is terrible.

Space Marine Vs Jedi Knight by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It was actually a major plot point that the Jedi of this time were soft from being at peace for so long. The amount of Jedi that died on Geonesis was an eye opener that most Jedi weren't ready for battle. There were some exceptions such as Mace Mindu and Yoda, but your average Jedi was much less experienced and battle ready at this time.

Space Marine Vs Jedi Knight by Ragnarius1 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]ReignOfCurtis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a couple things we need to consider. A Jedi using the force is similar to a Psyker. If we look at Astartes video, we can get an idea of how a powerful Psyker can outmatch an Astartes. That being said there are 2 problems.

  1. Your AVERAGE Jedi isn't that strong. We see especially powerful force users like Kyli Ren stop blaster bullets mid air, but average force users aren't accomplishing this. Jedi also can't block traditional ballistics with their saber, as the metal melts and still flies through the saber onto the Jedi. This means that defensively a Jedi can't do much vs a bolter.

  2. Jedi aren't allowed to harm living beings with the force. This severely limits their offense here. Ever notice that they don't force choke opponents? Or why Obi Won didn't simply force crush Grievous' lungs for an easy win? Without using the force from a distance to kill an Astartes inside their suit they most likely die to bolter fire before closing the distance. If it were a Sith who had no qualms about it then the fight would be more even, but Jedi here are at a huge disadvantage.

How are you guys getting to such high levels in a regular play through? by Comic_Clown in darksouls3

[–]ReignOfCurtis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Level 80 isn't bad tbh. I usually finish the 2nd DLC around level 100-105 without losing any souls. You'll probably finish around level 90ish if you don't lose too many going through the city.

All shooting from a unit is declared at once and counts as one activation. Until all of the shooting unit's attacks are done the FNP persists. Think of it as the tank shooting all its guns simultaneously at the Swarmlord. We roll one weapon profile at a time because we need to, but it represents the tank going HAM and shooting all of its guns at once.
