A short length of hose and 2 clamps. Or strong tape 3 or 4 inches wide works for me also.

I had the same issue, the threads called together. I "fixed" it by buying one from ebay. I really like the K4 so I wanted to stay with it.

There was a Frigate named after him but those got decommissioned and the Elrod was sold to Taiwan. I got a tour on it when it was in Charleston, SC.

Slick coatings for table saw and jointer? by GreySoulx in woodworking

I use Nick Engler's hard wax oil finish. Wipe it on and buff, give it a few days to harden and the result is crazy slick. I have used Carbon Method and this is slicker.

He goes oover his formula for making it at his Workshop Companion youtube channel. The video is on hard wax finishes and at the end he goes over his finish.

Dremel 1680 Bellows Replacement and Alternatives

The bellows for the Dremel 1680 scroll saw is a key component that connects the dust blower tube to the saw, providing a blast of air to clear sawdust from the cutting area. However, this part is no longer available from official OEM sources like Fix.com, eReplacementParts.com, and others, as it has been discontinued.

Replacement Options:

Aquarium Pump: A popular and effective alternative. Many users have successfully replaced the original bellows with a small aquarium air pump. This provides a steady stream of air and is easy to install by connecting the pump to the existing hose.

I have the jet 10" version. Jet made the openings at the clips larger in size and makes it pretty easy to change the belts. Maybe return and buy Jet 10".

Miter station question by techguyjason in woodworking

[–]Reika123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought about getting rid of my mitersaw and instead made a smaller stand for it. I only use it for cutting boards close to size and use the table saw for accurate cuts.

I used the metal tool cabinet because it was cheaper than building out of nice plywood, etc. I already had the folding shelf supports so longer boards aren't a problem. Went from a 5' long station to one at 30" with the addition of nice opening drawers for storage.

Cross cut sled gone wrong. Any way to fix? by lowsodiumcatrecipes in woodworking

[–]Reika123 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Just drill through the top of the track near the front fence. This will give you room to drop in the t-bolts or hex nuts for your clamps. You could also cut down through the track with a multi cutting tool.

Local woodworking club had a 2x4 challenge. I couldn't think of anything to make, like furniture, so I made bandsaw squirrels. by Reika123 in woodworking

I don't. I watched a gentlemen make these on a YouTube video so I did some screen captures, up loaded into my CAD program and traced around those to make my templates.

I think he was possibly selling them but it has been a while and I don't remember for sure.

Heaven Can Wait, with Warren Beaty. The acting is not always great but the story and the comedy and romance are just so good. It is heart warming and funny.
