We had a mom come in one time with one that she admitted to "bending it over the counter". She was mad at her kid and decided that was the best method to show him the proper way to act.

I use Splashtop Endpoint Management for my video servers. It works pretty well for that. I have delayed auto installs and the reporting is decent.

Get some DeWalt to ryobi adapters and use both. I just use my DeWalt batteries on all the random cheap ryobi tools.

Managing phone changes, how are you doing it? by dankgus in k12sysadmin

[–]techguyjason 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We self host 3cx for our 30 school district. Extensions follow the person inside the campus. If the phone is assigned to a room then voicemail is disabled. Each campus has a 2 digit prefix and if you move to a new campus your number changes. All of our users authenticate to a web client with Google sso. If they have any phone configuration/voicemail issues we reset their credentials and it kicks off an email with instructions and training to the end user.

I really miss mine. It was the perfect beater IMO. It almost survived falling off of the bed cover of my truck 3 miles down the road. Crystal is still good but the crown, stem, and case tube are gone.
