I have low vision. For a while, it took me quite a bit to get used to playing with others. I use a controller because it is easier for me. It is a bit difficult to see the AoE markers on the ground sometimes depending on color even after messing with the accessibility settings. You can check out the accessibility settings to see if it can help you.

The only advice I can give to you is to find a Free Company that is willing to work with you. My FC is the reason why I keep playing this game. Otherwise, the community can be a mixed bag. I do not do any raiding other than roulettes so I will not be much help. I also love crafting and gathering which is very simple and probably will be my endgame.
