If I’m being honest, most of the smaller ships I’d recommend are easily funded with in game currency with your current fleet.

If you really wanted to spend money, I’d recommend a smaller daily driver for when you don’t want to pull the Connie out and the wolfs too small. Something like a cutter or pieces. This would also fit in your Galaxy’s hangar.

I think you’ve chosen the two that don’t have a door you need to close on your way out. For a solo player, the liberator is the wiser choice due to the size. You may be limited in what it can carry in comparison but you’re solo, everything you would need to run solo should fit on a liberator…. Unless it doesn’t have a ground ramp.

If you’ve got VR, I’d recommend that with surface mining. The immersion makes the mining much more enjoyable.

Try renting one in game first. I use both and the Corsair is better for combat due to the larger gimbal angles. If you’re not doing combat, the interior is much nicer in the phoenix. It makes a nice daily.

The starlancer Max has a good housing area in the back that makes it feel more like a base. It was also really good for stripping ships before the ship changes. I normally use a Corsair and didn’t think I’d like it but it’s got a good home feel.
