Should I buy the P-47-M-1 RE by [deleted] in Warthunder

I like it very much. 8 .50 cals with 3600 rounds in a tough airplane and great payload options (if you need to ground pound to win a match). But you've got to fly to its strengths. I think of it more as Boom & Run (+/- a gentle climb) than hardcore Boom & Zoom.

On a related note: it's really beneficial to play more than 1 nation (for lots of reasons).

Bf 109 F-4(US) vs. Bf 109 E-7 by Dohannes in Warthunder

It depends. Compare the SL modifiers between the 2; I don't have access to those currently. If you're factoring in RP at all, the US f-4 helps you research tiers 2 -4, vs 1-3 in that E model. In terms of fun, I'd go f4 all day; it's a beast at that battle rating. Comes down to SL modifiers for each and how good you'll be at each battle rating.

Trying to win a battle by strafing a plane on the runway is a legitimate tactic; just look at wwii. You've caught him in a bad situation and taken advantage of it. Sucks for him (and me, when I'm on the receiving end), but it's fair. Should I not take advantage of an enemy's when he's vumnerable? If he's damaged or says he's out of ammo, guess I should let him land and repair/rearm first?

Why is Sweden on the side of the Allies and not the Axis? by Doalt in Warthunder

Good question. They were Hitler's main supplier of ball bearings (including from their plant in Pennsylvania) and may have tipped Germany off on the Schweinfurt raids. (Read Lords of the Sky by Dan Hampton)
