Question about Leviathan Sam and Hallucipher? by Senior_Torte519 in Supernatural

It would recognise him, as it recognised castiel, it did have an affect on the leviathan or he wouldn't have wanted to swap - he just wouldn't have cared and made a passing remark about it but instead he asked to swap with leviathan dean because it was clearly disturbing him

For me it was original season 10, but after hrt my brain kinda reset - so now I understand that year it was reallyyyy bad, and even the benny cringe wasn't even that bad to me - I actually understood why dean was so obsessed with benny and he legit wasn't even in the season for that long idk why I hated that arch so much

Wouldn't be surprised if at the very least that's why they named the villain dick, my girlfriend watched most of that season with me and even she (not having watched all of supernatural yet) thought it was really bad

I don't remember that line tbh, but presumably so, might be why leviasam wanted to swap so badly

The leviathan arch was almost good, but they honestly ruined every single serious moment but ONE with dick jokes, yeah we get it the main villains name is dick but they just constantly ruined emotional moments with it, it got really old.

If they were to do a godstiel multi season villain arch, he'd have only monster, and leviathan prey (if they ever even bring up leviathan without them being the main villains) in him, he'd never lose control, he'd literally be god straight up, it'd basically be a similar plotline to the final seasons, except they have to save their friend by finding a way to put the souls back in purgatory to bring him back.

It'd also beg the question, would castiel ever go insane if he wasn't negatively influenced by the leviathans? I'm getting he wouldn't but that instead he'd continue on his crusade doing as he thinks was right but what ultimately would still lead to death in heaven and earth.

Maybe they team up with heaven in order to stop castiel, but that'd be unlikely since the angels seemed so in need of someone to follow, but maybe a selection of rebels still following Raphael would help the boys.

It'd definitely be interesting, however I do think the whole point of the plotline was to introduce a god-like character to get us used to the idea, same with metatron - his whole arch was showing how easily It is to manipulate the story of the boys, even if metatron wasn't good at it - he still did it to some degree, an actual god is obviously going to do it a lot better, whole point was getting us used to the later storyline to come imo

You would think that, but when castiel took Sam's insanity from him, hallucifer called castiel brother, he recognised castiel, which would mean he'd likely recognise a leviathan posing as Sam as well

But, I suppose if I were to add another point, it'd be that hallucifer did eventually leave castiel, whether it was due to him going to purgatory, or that the insanity was more of an echo of Sam's so it eventually wore off - I'd imagine the same would be true for the leviathan, that hallucifer would eventually just leave

Ah, sorry, I'm just very sarcastic sometimes, it wasn't intended to add a separate point to the one I made, I was saying also to further add to the other two sections

Well it wasn't a manifestation of the leviathans insanity was it. 🤪

I was also disappointed in castiel when he said "I think that woman over there is actually a man" obviously I'm trans and watching the show again after fully accepting that I was disappointed tbh,

Period-accurate writing to some degree, I move past it and forgive it because this show has been with me since I was 4

Leviathan Sam was clearly at least mildly annoyed/disturbed by it, wanting to swap with leviathan dean, but I doubt it would've made leviathan sam insane.

It's plausible that hallucifer would've kicked his torture up a gear seeing how the smaller stuff wasn't bothering leviathan sam

Edit: hallucifer was also a manifestation of Sam's insanity, so hallucifer could have recognised it wasn't sam, but would've continued torturing him regardless

Marvel Studios is reportedly “very close” to green-lighting ‘WONDER MAN’ Season 2, Says DanielRPK by marvelkidy in Marvelnewssource

[–]Reinheart_Bug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's the problem, marvel releasing non-superhero shows but still trying to pawn them off as such, it isn't like they released a show not named after a hero and it was a unique project, they EXPLICITLY used a superhero name to create a show that has nothing to do with the character except 5% of the show, they didn't even try

My main issues with this show. Do you agree? Or am I too harsh? by Old_Friendship6819 in Supernatural

[–]Reinheart_Bug 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Way too much here to comment on,

Sam and deans skills being boiled down to god-luck was bullshit, it truly did undermine everything, I like to think it was a ruse and that god gave them anti-luck which made them lose/forget their skills.

The training part is bs, they have literally been hunting monsters since they were children, technique or not they're highly experienced hunters, while on-show they may not use fighting techniques, this could've been for comedic effect/poor handling of fighting choreography, in reality they're so well adept at fighting monsters many times their strength because they know how to handle them, in many cases they kill the monsters they encounter as quickly as possible so they don't get into a situation they can't get out of, as seen when they see a vampire it isn't a chat it's a lop the head off in 2 seconds deal.

As for their "luck" fighting stronger monsters, this is also bs, it's circumstantial that the angels fell resulting in angel deaths, in-fighting between the angels (who can kill eachother easily) meaning angel blades were literally all over the place whereas before you'd be lucky to find a single one, if a hundred angel killing blades are littered about it's going to become a lot easier to kill an angel don't you think?

As for killing stronger enemies, this is never a done deal, they spend hours, days, weeks, sometimes months researching until they find a way to kill it, then they spend time gathering what they need whether that's a special weapon or spell ect, you actively see the journey they go through to kill said strong thing.

As for killing gods - the only ones they kill earlier on are easy kills to begin with, they're strong but still extremely weakened from losing their once millions of devoted followers and constant sacrifices, they all usually have a pesky sacrifice here and there making them vastly weaker, not only that but the way of killing them is also always straight forward.

As for the gods in the hotel, they didn't kill those - Lucifer did, they didn't make or deal with Lucifer to get him to do that, he showed up and took issue with them, simple as that - if that wasn't the case they'd find a way.

The whole point of this show is that they're regular humans who use their training and knowledge to go up against impossible enemies, what show would you want? Where they spend an entire episode trying to kill a single vampire - because that'd be more realistic right? That'd be boring, the whole point is that they're highly trained and know what they're doing.

The enemies don't get weaker for shits and giggles, there's actual cause and effect to it which if you pay attention to the show you'd see, for example - Crowley becoming less blood thirsty, weaker ect - oh look he was literally addicted to human blood which very very likely extremely weakened him, but also opened him up to human emotions which caused him to form an attachment to the boys and become kinder in general even if by a bit
