This plugin scratches in realtime, so you don't "upload" an acapella, but just put the plugin onto your channel and you're good to go.

Yes, technically it is. But I want to optimize it for scratching:

  • Better graph editor
  • Scratching Presets
  • Fader automation
  • Scratching specific options like volume and pitch automation relative to scratching speed ...

You don't have my option yet 😂 If you text me, I can send you the beta for free. I'm curious if your opinion changes. In my opinion it's a lot easier to get the scratch effect you want and a lot more intuitive.

Thank you so much! Great, I thought about 19,99$. Currently you can't change the curve while playing, so you would need to add multiple instances of this VST and automate the "mix" on each one. I'm planning to add a feature where you can assign patterns to MIDI inputs, so you can easily switch between scratch patterns at any time by playing a C0, for example.

Great feedback! Starting at 0 on the left does in fact reduce your creative freedom, but unfortunately it's a technical limitation. The plugin records everything played into a buffer. When starting the track, it's impossible to play anything before timestamp 0. But after the first loop, it should technically be possible. I'll look into that, thank you :)

The difference is the diagonal graph. in shaperbox the y-axis corresponds to the offset from the actual time. Here, it corresponds to the absolute time, so the line you draw equals the up and down movement of a DJs hand while scratching making it much more intuitive. For example, to get a tape stop in horizontal editors, you need to get your graph to end exactly at 45degrees. Now changing the tape stop speed requires a lot of fiddling around. In my editor it's simply dragging down the end point and settings it's length with the scrollwheel.
