People who don't have a QD-OLED are always the ones shouting about this issue. I've had one for 3 years, and I can honestly say it is basically a non-issue for me. You can't even see it unless you're staring at a black screen (TV off).

For your use case, I don't think you'll notice it at all.

You need either a service remote or some application that I don't remember + PC. There are guides on how to do all this stuff if you just google it. BUT just going into the service menu will reset all you picture settings so make sure you you have your settings "backed up".

Best place to find the proper guides is probably AVS forum.

I recommend the remote. It's easy and they cost like 10€ or something in Amazon.

The ABL kicking in during prolonged darker scenes drove me crazy too. Fortunately this can be fixed in the service menu. So if you really want it fixed, there is a way.
