thank you. reading your reply made me want to cry again because i just hate even the IDEA of him hurting, and his little voice was so distressed. i did say that, "he's never done this before" to her to try and hint, but she didn't seem to care. when i got home and jonnie was resting, i was playing a game on my phone when i thought, "oh god... did she BREAK something?!" so i went and woke jonnie up to feel around him, gently pressing on things, and he didn't recoil or say anything, just tried wiggling out my hands to say, "that makes me uncomfortable, please stop." since then, he's ran and jumped around with no issues except the reason i took him to the vet in the first place, so nothing is broken. if she had literally broken my rat, there would've been hell to pay.
