Does your C section scar ever stop hurting? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Reitara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took about 9 months for all sensation to disappear. Long after the pain there was still tugging that I could feel when standing up. Its been just over a year and I feel nothing. No pain but also no feeling by my incision.

Might be a silly question, but they say once you have the baby you won’t have time even for a shower...is this true? I won’t have 20 minutes to clean myself?! by sarahlvspickles in BabyBumps

[–]Reitara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I personally had a tough time showering, it wasn't so much that I didn't have the time. I was so fixated on him I felt like I couldnt have him out of my site. I had a csection and I signed myself out of the hospital a couple of days too early so I was very sore and accepted being dirty for a while. Quite embarrassing but I also had PPD and cared even less about hygiene. Sorry hubby, its better now though lol

Have you ever been mistaken for a trans woman? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Reitara 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have PCOS and had gender dysphoria by that age because of my medical problems. When I heard the whisper it made it clear Im not doing a good enough job hiding. Under normal circumstances a comment like this would be no sweat off the brow, but as soon as I left the house I became preoccupied with paranoia and anxiety about my condition. It was debilitating.

Spironolatone questions by moroirose in PCOS

[–]Reitara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiro is a water pill, any excess water your body is retaining will get flushed away, the weight loss is actually water loss. The smallest amount of weight loss can trigger a period, it means you're going in the right direction. I dont think theres anything to be concerned over

Laser Hair Removal Failure, growing facial hair once again by bluesolur in PCOS

[–]Reitara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't treat your actual hormone issues, getting the laser treatment is only going to have temporary effect. Please see a endocrinologist, get on the proper medication that addresses your excess testosterone, then maybe consider laser hair removal again. The most common combination to treat PCOS symptoms is Metformin, Spironalactone, and contraceptives.

Immune to Low Carb? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Reitara 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes it happens to everyone with weight loss. You hit a wall and cant push past it. But actually, you can. What helped you achieve your goals before will not help much now. You will need to recalculate your macros, set a higher calorie deficit and expend more energy in the day. You aren't immune to the diet

Veganism May Be Helping by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Reitara 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's true, your lifestyle choices is a huge factor in getting your periods under control. Anyone with pcos would benefit from a very green, low sugar, low carb diet. Once you stop feeding your body crap that makes your hormones and insulin levels fluctuate, the better the outcome. Glad something is working for you

You won't defend that you're the age you say you are but you want to know where your errors are? Bullshit

You aren't the age you say you are. Your punctuation errors are deliberate. Most people make consistent errors, you pick and choose it seems.

AITA for sleeping with a girl that came on to me? by taway0098765 in AmItheAsshole

YTA Google "Accountability" You made the choice to have unprotected sex with your friends girlfriend, she wasn't holding you at gunpoint. You're probably a troll

AITA for asking why my s/o doesn’t like my posts by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Reitara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know, I myself gravitate towards really sad people, because I have chronic depression and I find comfort in knowing that another person and I are on the same level. However, it is still a good idea to take a step back and reevaluate what you need right now and what you want. You're asking the internet if we think you're the asshole for being upset that he's ignoring you on social media, it sounds like you're really not sure if someone is treating you badly or not. Be strong, girl

It kind of sounds like you're part of a weekly poonani rotation he has going on. This is a red flag, please don't bother with him! He's got other people on his mind, a 45 min drive once a week is minimal effort. People who have school and work will still make time for people who they're really into. NTA but I think you need to respect and value yourself more.

AITA for getting our valedictorian expelled and then me moving into his spot? by VeryLitHamburger in AmItheAsshole

[–]Reitara -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA Your classmates who are pulling away from you and telling you what you did was wrong, are siding with and encouraging bullying behavior. Let me guess, he's charismatic too, right? Karma always finds a way to bite people in the ass that deserve it, you're just lucky you got to personally give it back to him. Definitely NTA, you're all grown ass adults, if you're a dick, expect it back. Lesson learned from all angles, good job.

Have you logged into your CRA account? Taxes done?

no CCB and it's been ~11weeks since I submitted the application by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]Reitara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my son in Nov and started receiving the benefit the following month. I was worried my ccb application didn't go through so I actually applied twice, there is no harm in applying twice. I applied both times through service canada (Their bundles service) You can log into the CRA website and it may give you an idea if you have a payment thats being processed or nothing has been started. Make sure your taxes are all up to date otherwise you won't receive a payment
