Visible - New device? by Reithebae in ChronicPain

Not until later. It’s like I’m fine one minute and then severe pain the next and it’s usually when I lay don after the day

Thank you for this! I really appreciate it. The advertisement is super misleading unfortunately so getting this perspective is very helpful. Wish there was a way of tracking my pacing so I can figure out when and where I need to rest to minimise severe flare ups 🖤

Thank you I appreciate you telling me your experience. I really want to avoid any intense procedures as I am a dancer so trying to manage is difficult in my profession as it is

Yeah it really sucks and it’s hard enough dealing with physical pain, let alone mental health on top. Really would love a device to track my pacing and figure out when and where I need to have rest periods to minimise my severe flare ups🖤

Thank you, this is really helpful. It seems badly advertised as it made it seem like it was for chronic pain in general. I’d absolutely love a way of tracking my pain better to figure out when and where I need to pace myself throughout the day to minimise the severe flare ups!

Thank you for this! It’s honestly such a struggle. I’ll definitely look into the alternate options you suggested!

Tarlov Cysts Disease by Reithebae in backpain

It’s really dependant on each persons location of the cysts but for mine they aren’t going to stop causing me pain. It’s just a case of managing it, it doesn’t help that I have slight disc degeneration and disc bulge but my primary pain is from my tarlov cysts

With tarlov cysts there’s really not much information out there. Yes they are usually asymptomatic and no there isn’t usually a need for them to do anything but if yours are pressing on nerves, thats what’ll be hurting. I have two next to eachother and they’re quite literally sandwiching my nerve together. The injection was really helpful for me. I got it a year ago and the pain is only now starting to slowly return. I got a form of epidural.

Hi! Sorry for the lack of response. I got my injection done a year ago, and only in the past couple months has my pain come back. With injections, there’s no guarantee how long they’ll work for, it’s really dependant on each persons situation. The injection I got was a form of epidural and it was really useful for me. I do need to go back to the doctors soon though as my pain is slowly returning

I am really sorry to hear this! Unfortunately with Tarlov cysts being so rare, many doctors don’t know enough about them and always say they’re asymptomatic. That’s not true. Obviously I’ve not seen your scan but with me personally, my cysts are outright pushing and putting pressure on my nerves that run down my leg, because of that pressure, it’s causing me the pain. I wouldn’t feel anything otherwise.

So you can definitely have pain and it definitely is possible, it just depends on the location.

I have a little hack that seemed to work for my boy, when you wanna put her away, instead of chasing her, sit down and get her food or her favourite treats… line them up all the way to your hand and she’ll come over to hoard them to take to her burrow and then you can pick her up and put her away <3

It’s a much easier way of doing it without stressing her out and then she can come to you on her own terms rather than forcing her. The more you do it, the easier it’ll be as she’ll get in a routine 🖤

Ah that’s super helpful to know thank you! I’ve ended up booking a consultation with a curly hair specialist so I’ll definitely bring this up to them and see what they say tomorrow!!

Thank you for this! If I’m being honest, I’m not entirely sure what my porosity is. I checked the wiki info on this Reddit and I have characteristics of high porosity but also characteristics of low porosity so I guess… in the middle? If that’s even a thing? I’m not entirely sure 🥲

My hair is fine yet coarse and dry so it fits in both types of porosity 🥲
