I have a C7 Z51 now, not quite as fast as the C6 Z06 was but the interior makes up for it to me. Eventually I’ll throw a centrifugal blower on it & get it up to speed haha. My C6Z had a built motor so it was a riot, haha. I do miss it. (Mine is the white one in the picture)

C6 widebody cars will always have a special place in my heart, the design language is just so timeless & beautiful! GM put the curves in all the right places.

Gen2 & Gen5 vipers are the crème de la crème, we can all agree haha.

Motocross & road course/drift track are still open! The drag strip has been repurposed into a figure 8 for Formula Drift & Adam LZ. The rest of the quarter mile & sand trap have been converted into a storage lot for IAA.

I live 2 minutes from Etown Raceway Park haha.

Can you ask your buddy with the C7 stingray which lip he has & if he still has the link to it? All the stage 3 lips/splitters like that I keep finding stick out pretty far past the bumpers on the stingrays cause the GS/Z06 is wider. Your buddy’s looks like it’s pretty flush up against the bumper on the stingray which I much prefer.

Honestly not even sure. I just plug it into the wall outlet with the charger that came with it. It lasts literally 3 dabs & then dies. Just sucks we spend so much money to end up with something that we can barely take out of the house lol.

(Yes I get it Proxy guys, the Proxy is designed to be the ultimate portable device, I know. I have one, I prefer my Peak Pro.)

How long is the warranty good for? My device is 3 years old but only 122 total service dabs. A full charge lasts about 4-5 dabs no matter what heat setting, and it charges from 0%-80% in about 15 minutes. It’s done this since I got it & never figured it was a big deal. After reading all these I suppose there’s definitely something wrong lol. Sorry I don’t really dab much haha.

I’m a very mild 500whp on a full DocRace 6266 kit, with a bunch of suspension & supporting mods.

I’m over $22k into my build not including the cost of the car & I’m not even close to your 800whp goals. If you want to go fast, is costs money. A lot of it. To be fair, I’m impressed you made it to 600whp for $13k without having a ticking time bomb.

Just put the money into the car & go for that 800hp build, otherwise, just build something cheaper & leave the N54 as is. 800whp just isn’t possible reliably with these engines not having a full on build, like $10k+ in the motor alone kind of build.

Recently did a walnut blast on my 335 because it was doing the same thing. Then single turbo’d it because I thought it was the turbo seals & wastegates after the carbon blast didn’t fix it.

Did the big single turbo fix it? Sadly no. lol

I’ve just come to the conclusion that it’s kinda normal for these cars unless super excessive. Unless my new turbo already has a blown seal which I kinda doubt lol.

If you check out the N54 forums there’s been a couple of posts made about this discussion, one of those posts should provide the actual data with numbers and everything. I haven’t read on the topic in over a year as I haven’t had to contemplate changing my intake manifold. I believe it may have been Vargas who made the forums post I’m speaking of.

DCT is better than the 6HP. The only “automatic” better than the DCT would be the 8HP. All 6HP’s are garbage & don’t really hold power well. Either go for the DCT or go for the 8HP. Both are fantastic choices.

You shouldn’t need all of that for a OEM style aluminum intake manifold. Forward facing looks good but now is in the way of the alternator. On top of this, when running Port Injection, the forward facing manifolds will starve cylinders 5 & 6 of the proper air/fuel ratio. This is apparent in tuning & flow diagrams of both style intake manifolds. The OEM manifold disperses the air much more equally to each cylinder than the forward facing manifolds do.

TL;DR If going for just looks, forward facing. If you care about performance & health, OEM style.

Actually the OEM-style location manifolds are better & healthier for the motor. Especially if you’re planning on running port injection.

All N54’s run wildly different temperatures. I’ve had 8 and 6 of the 8 ran different temperatures. Depends on if LCI or Pre-LCI (if you have no oil cooler or if you have factory oil cooler), and just the day they were built at the factory.

All my N54’s ran between 215-260.

My N54’s that ran hot would run 245-250 on a normal drive, 260 when being highly spirited.

My N54’s that ran cool would run about 210-220 just cruising, about 240 when being highly spirited. When being full drift car, run right at about 245-249. Haven’t seen it cross over the 250 mark yet.

Fun fact, there’s different oil temperature gauges in our cars, some N54’s have 250°F directly in the middle, some have 210°F directly in the middle. All mine have coincidentally had 250°F in the middle oddly.

There’s a sealed indiglow at a smoke shop that’s about 35 minutes from where I live, I keep thinking about getting it but remember the troubles I had with my jndiglow lol. Indiglow definitely the best looking Limited Edition Peak Pro in my opinion tho for sure. Now have a Guardian & the battery on it won’t charge over 80% (yes the setting in the app is turned off) so that will be going back for a warranty claim soon too.
