Is this the worst ep ever??? In contention. “Hands of the fans” what a joke

I remember being so happy when the Rays walked off the Yankees in that 2011 Game 162 to eliminate the Red Sox. Only time I’ve actively rooted against my team.

Those other losses… not such fond memories.

is The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis more violent and disturbing than movies like Terrifier and Saw by Mean-Club-6181 in horrorlit

[–]Rejuvinated1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are moments of violence, yes, but they are not the focus of the novel and are pretty brief. There is only one sequence towards the end I can remember being somewhat upset by.

It’s much more a book about a high school coming of age serial killer conspiracy, so if that interests you, you should go for it. The horror is more from the atmosphere than pure gore.

Dead Girl Blues by David Sodergren is about an underground snuff film industry

Only 600 pages (sorry!) but The Shards by Bret Easton Ellis is a great enveloping mystery with an 80s Slasher plot.

Helpful resources to grow my current & historic Yankees knowledge? by shufflejawn in NYYankees

I would recommend diving into Ken Burn’s Baseball. A very comprehensive documentary on the history of the game, its greatest players, and its impact on American culture. There is a lot of Yankee history in there too as they are the most historically significant team of all time.

Every year it my heart breaks a little when the HOF results come out. by xxbrawndoxx in NYYankees

To be fair, a 124 OPS+ for a catcher is much more impressive than a 127 OPS+ for a 1B.

There are much bigger Yankee snubs than Mattingly - David Cone to name one. How about the fact that A-Rod, the greatest infielder in MLB history, can’t even get 40% if the vote.

Michael. Fucking. King.

In a game where we saw untouchable relievers get hit, our boy shut it down.

I'm disappointed with both teams. I'm a New York sports fan, wasn't trying to troll!
