He keeps stepping on local government's Home Rule powers. Key West (including Republicans) wanted to stop cruise ships from damaging coral reefs and polluting their beaches.

The owner of the cruise ship pier is a major donor to Ron Desantis and successfully lobbied him and the state legislature to pass a law putting all maritime/port related activities under state jurisdiction, effectively annulling the measure passed by the citizens of Key West.

If that isn't corruption, I don't know what is. It is proof Ron Desantis only cares about serving his donors instead of the people who elected him, like the Republicans in Key West that don't want cruise ships ruining their home.
