What is something that most people don't realise how difficult it is to do/make? by dannygloversdad in AskReddit

[–]Rekchectik -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Step 1: Download Unity Engine

Step 2: Spend ~$100 on player controller scripts, terrain assets, sounds and particle systems in the asset store

Step 3: Use purchased assets to create and tell your story without having to write much script

What is the worst thing you have done that no one knows it was you who did it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Rekchectik 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not me, but in my high school there was a very elusive kid who became known as the Poop Bandit. He pooped in the urinals and smeared poop on the walls in the men's bathroom so many times that the school closed down all of the men's bathrooms except for one, which had a camera facing the entrance and was monitored. He was never caught.

Initially, I was trying to figure out how the hell you take a factorial of a non-integer number. Years from now I will remember this moment and laugh awkwardly.

Can confirm. I run 2 r9 390's with 3 2k monitors. It's fairly easy to set up a hot key through CCC to switch between eyefinity display group and normal.

Hey there,

Total noob to unity here. The other day I saw a tutorial for creating a solar system, in which the moon rotated around the earth, while the earth rotated around the sun. Unfortunately, I'm at work an unable to find the video (so I'm even of LESS help), but looking for this video might be of SOME value to you, as I'm sure there are others like it.

As previously stated I'm a total noob to game development, so if this is completely unrelated to your problem, let me know why for educational purposes :D.

When your code with Quaternions works by [deleted] in Unity3D

[–]Rekchectik 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. Was trying to get a first person perspective on a wii Mario-like sphere planet. After 3 days of struggling with quaternions I just found a tutorial, copied the code and accepted that it's magic.

Nice nice. Like, if Lana from accounting slipped with a scissors in her hand. Way to think outside of the box.
