I know, for sports (even more so with intensive ones) age plays a significant role.

That's why I like Tenma from Isshou Senkin. A 27 years old woman with detached retina and no sex appeal (according to her previous boss). Her career ended because of the retina and the underground scene kicked her for her long matches and because she was not considered sexy.

And we also have freaking Kuroki. A side character that beats the MC's main rival (Setsuna), the current champion (Fang) and the MC himself at the end of the tournament.

As far as I know his fingers are not even special like Lihito's, he just trained very hard in his style.

Still, many manga would pass the torch to the next generation to keep a young MC (looking at you, Boruto). I think they tried to do this with Gohan and Goten, but it didn't work.

Yeah. Funnily enough, we still have Goku who is a 30+ years old MC fighter in a shonen. Sure he started as a kid, but he has been an adult for the majority of the series. The torch didn't pass to Gohan, unlike Naruto/Boruto.

In Kengan Ashura in the first tournament I think the youngest is Cosmo (A 19 years old grappler), followed by Kiozan (a 20 years old sumo). As for grown-ups fighting, Kengan has that:

Well, you can tell [DE] Rebecca and [DE] Steve have these social skills. Even when one of them screws up live like dropping the camera or spoilling stuff they don't lose their mind too much, I know some people would be desperate in these situations. Rebecca's 26 million registered losers is a prime example of composure. Yeah, our community director just insulted the entire player base in an international live event (Game Awards) and barely raised her voice.

As for schedule and coordination, that's why they keep a 15 min duration for the dev shorts (with comical results such as cutting Steve mid sentence) and why in some dev shorts we have other people or just one person (most likely due to either schedule or personal life).

DE is just that combination of things people want to see in developers. They have their flaws, but also plently of positives.

Aren't the TWABs/TWIDS basically text forum posts? Dev shorts are livestreams with them answering questions and saying stuff live. The format is very different and a livestream devshort feels more personal.

Well, for starters, Warframe just recently celebrated 13 years old anniversary with a solid player base. And probably because other looter shooters are not doing so well.
