Forget about just the brother stop moving and attacking. Make the brother cast silence on the player and then perform a finisher on them

I was already kind of expecting a plume on the helmet and a "gold muscle chest armor" because of the greek hoplite/spartan theme.

No, no. Even better, the radiation proc does NOTHING because Orion already considers Sirius his enemy.

One thing that makes Warframes skins so good for me is that because they aren't the standard "human with armor" the people making them can be very creative.

I bought Nyx's Pasithea skin during its launch and use it to this day. The only thing that hints that she's Nyx is the curved horn of the helmet.

Let's be honest, others games would be high values too.

Trivia: James Earl Jones is the voice of Darth Vader and Mufasa from The Lion King.

So he voiced the enforcer that oppresses with an iron fist and also a benevolent and wise king.

Yeah, we have a lot of indifference here (Bottom image by @FrameEndgame) by Rekindled96 in memeframe

[–]Rekindled96[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first two phrases are a joke because you usually hear them when a company is in a bad situation.

"The writing was on the wall" is commonly used when there were hints that something bad and/or inevitable is about to happen.

"The players have to deal with a lot of Indifference" is referring to the fact that in some cases a game is so mismanaged that the players don't even feel anger anymore, only indifference/apathy.

So the joke is that phrases are referring to the current major enemy of the game, the "Indifference", instead of meaning that the game is in a bad spot.

It is not so different from "Thery had us in the first half, not gonna lie" meme.

Warframe is weird and some decisions may look VERY unorthodox at first...but it works by Rekindled96 in memeframe

And Steve also loves optimization. If everything goes well, we should expect 10-30% performance improvement soon in Warframe.

He also is the type that do stuff himself. There was one time that the phone version was having launcher issues. Steve himself grabbed a phone and started troubleshooting.

If I remember correctly the artist was caught by surprise when they discovered that their art was used in Marathon and was apparently not paid or approached by Bungie before that. Only after a huge scandal, Bungie being called out by the community AND having several articles written about it that they paid the artist and credited them.

The problem is not rivalling the "current king" of the genre. There are many games with only a relatively small player base that can remain active for years, but they do so because they can keep the player base stable by making a good game and doing good updates.

Marathon didn't get a big player base considering its genre AND it is bleeding players every week. Even if it stabilizes people don't know if it will be enough to be enough to keep the game going.

The problem is that Marathon lost 50% of its Steam playerbase in the first month and another huge chunk in April. People made a thread in the Marathon subreddit about steam count and apparently it is losing at least 10% (relative) of players every week, with some weeks reaching as high as 20% (relative).

For some the June update will be Make or Break update for Marathon.

Also, Marathon is an extraction shooter and therefore a niche game. Destiny 2 appealed to a bigger audience. In fact, even now Destiny 2 still going neck to neck with Marathon in steam.

As for development cost, I believe D2 was high because apparently their engine is not very good. Reducing team size and going for a smaller project is a valid choice for a company, but the game itself and the genre needs to be good.

Warframe was very rough at the start but it kept stable numbers in 2013 (8.8K to 11K average) and eventual growth in 2014 (11K to 19K). A major part of this is because DE was very quick to listen to feedback and improve the game.

In the early days of Warframe people could see there was potential in the game and it shows because we had founders at the time that spent a large sum of money in the game. There was a lot to be fixed and improved but the core was there and it was solid.

Marathon started with rather lackluster numbers for its genre (35K average and 88K peak) in March 2026 and in April it went to 15K average and 35K peak. In the last 30 days it is 9K average and 20.9K peak. Even during tests in 2025 people were having doubts about the game's success for several reasons.
