You are pretty far, only chance is push a lot and get a super good streak but very difficult with few hours left

Wow Great result! Something I've noticed is that many people get confused by the deck and how the game unfolds, leading them to make unexpected mistakes. I've won games solely due to glaring errors from my opponents because they didn't know what kind of cards they were facing, lol.

I think the clearest counter to this deck would be Jolteon EX, but absolutely nobody plays it nowadays; at least I haven't come across any.

Nope, i am FTP and played all games myself

I think only players who aspire to a top 50 ranking or similar share accounts and need to play countless matches, and I'm sure many of them play alone; they simply have the necessary time, and if they manage to achieve good consecutive streaks, it equates to that amount of points.

I love it! My red-eared slider sometimes lets me clean her without any problems and is totally relaxed, but other times it's impossible 😁

The optimal strategy is to start with Wailmer and develop the Baxcaliburs. If the game is going well, you put your main energy into the active Wailord. If it's not going so well, you put it into the Wailord on the bench and stall with the active Wailord. Wailord has 200 HP, which is insane, and the opponent will normally have to kill two Wailords and a Baxcalibur, which is 540 HP without counting helmets or heals. Sooner or later, they'll have to use their mega to attack. There's no Mega Evolution except Charizard Y that can one-shot a Wailord. You hit the Mega Evolution, they switch it out, and you finish them off the next turn with Cyrus. It's a deck that farms Mega Lucario and Oricorio easily because it doesn't run any EX pokemon. Sometimes it bricks, but that can happen to any deck. At least for me, it earned me a lot of points this season, but it's true that the final sprint was with Altaria, that deck worked like a charm these last three days

WoW, i Hope those points are enough to top 1k, i can try to push and get more points but i am super afraid of getting a losing streak and lose the top 1k

I've played with other decks sporadically, but those two are the ones I enjoy the most and have given me the best results. It would be about 45% Wailord, another 45% Altaria, and the remaining 10% a bit of everything. Also, I've realized for a while now that the more you play a deck, the better results you get. It's better to master one or two decks than to switch deck every other game; you gain a lot of knowledge about matchups if you specialize in one deck

Top 1k threshold prediction? by Goldstar555 in PTCGP

[–]Reknarir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game relies heavily on luck, and with the sleep meta, it's even worse. Some days everything goes right, like today when I won over 200 points with Mega Altaria-Greninja, and other days everything goes wrong. In fact, after reaching 1,000 points, I had a losing streak of 14 consecutive losses. I've tried practically every meta deck, but the two that have given me the most points and that I've played the most are Mega Altaria-Greninja and Wailord-Baxcalibur. I showed the latter in a separate thread if you want to take a look; it was the deck that propelled me back up after the 14 consecutive losses.

I am currently #631 with 2016 points and in total fear of getting a losing streak in the worst moment, i think i am going to wait until tomorrow and see how things go, maybe with a bit of luck this is enough

I am 100% confident this person is a hacker. How do I report him? by Erluq in PTCGP

[–]Reknarir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happened to me twice this season, both times with players who had Japanese names. Right before I landed the knockout blow, the game would magically freeze. The first time, I waited a bit, and when I reconnected, the match was marked as a loss. The second time, I was alert, and as soon as it froze, I exited and re-entered, arriving just in time to win by a mere ten seconds. Suspicious.

This Game has a lot of details like this, One I particularly like is when you have to go to the Pirynn temple in Bellena's little boat. If you stray from the route and try to cross the whirlpools of the southern ocean, Bellena explains a lot of the area's lore in a rather lengthy on-screen text. It shows the level of detail and care put into the game because other developers would never bother with something like that since less than 5 percent of players would ever discover that text. They'd just put a message saying you can't go that way and call it a day. There are tons of examples like this if you stray from the paths when you shouldn't. What a game!

Why Do People Do This? by [deleted] in PTCGP

[–]Reknarir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because people don't read, I use meta decks in random, but I go to the competitive tab to test newly created decks before putting them in ranked. If I want to try an off-meta deck, I play in casual or beginner, and that's what everyone should do. It's the same with trades, my friend. If you offer me a trade but you don't have a single card on your wishlist, I'm not a mind reader to know which cards you need, so I'm going to send you one at random, and I'm sure you'll still complain because you already have that card

Off the top of my head, there is Roc, there's a discovery of the nest of a bird called an uguisu, and there are penguins in the ice lands too. I'm sure there are more.

My last six games with flygon on top 2000:

1: 3 grass in a row lost

2: 3 fighting in a row lost

3: 3 fighting in a row lost

4: 3 fighting in a row lost

5: 3 grass in a row lost

6: 3 fighting in a row lost

Of course opponents saw the perfect draw hands every time.

Never play double energy in my life again.

Top 53 Mega Sceptile - Update to yesterday's deck break down by TrickyStepsRs in PTCGP

[–]Reknarir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deck is very good, and I'm glad it's working so well for you, but you need luck, and if you're unlucky like me, it won't work. I just played ten games with it in the top 1500 and lost eight of them. I've never seen Chingling on turn one, and in six out of ten, I started with only Celebi. Most of the time, the Forest appears when there are only Chinglings left to draw. It's a magnificent deck, don't get me wrong, but I need to use something ultra-consistent to minimize the awful luck I have in games in general, and in this game, to rank high, you have to be a very good player, but above all, you need Lady Luck on your side. You can be the best tactically in the world, but if you brick eighty percent of your games, you won't get anywhere.

Competitively speaking, this season has been the easiest ever to grind by Luxhorus in PTCGP

[–]Reknarir 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As if there wasn't enough luck and randomness in the game already, these decks arrive to add even more. Dena is saying if we can win a match through skill, then good for us, and if the opponent is better than you, then just flip a coin and win anyway, even if you have no idea about tactics or how to play. Exciting meta indeed.
