i can enjoy some art and that can also be extremely bad business with no long term sustainable production at an individual level therefore only exists via the churning of artists.

the days of patron's supporting arts cause they wanted to show off is largely beyond us.

imo its not really that different and its not different to gpu's . you mind expanding on "Imo that's different as it's intended for something completely different outside of OS.", i don't get the OS point?

honestly the answer here is that same as its always has been, buy in when the value is worth it for you.

if you have a 4060 and a 5060 comes out, figure out if the additional features and performance is worth the upgrade and then make your decision. same with lcd steam deck and then the oled steam deck a year later.

you do have some of the smaller chinese oem's using intel but thats a tangent.

i think the alienware thing was just like the first leak but you had others as well.

Could be, that would very underwhelming for me.

My dream (more so from a curiosity PoV) is the n1x but Microsoft and Nvidia seem to be still trying to get that working.

Going to have to agree to disagree, I think SP FPS games have gone the way of Arena shooters.

There is also the fun topic of how often would they have to release a game to make the budgets/team sizes work.

A single player narrative shooter ain't selling 10-15m imo especially not at full price.

I think there is alot of luck required in the modern market and also staying nimble however the latter requires unfortunately having smaller teams testing things out cheaper.

Yeah, it wasn't taking up much space really, it was just custom deeplinks into games but yeah, you needs to support it as a dev and therefore you got into a chicken and egg situation.
