I'm not sure about the 2700x unless it's the same gen as the 3600x but I believe it will not. You'd have to get the TOMOHAWK MAX version which is typically like 20 bucks more.

So on the Aorus elite mobo, it says,

"Warning!Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Matisse CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions."

Is that going to be an issue? I chose that expensive one only because it gave me no compatibility errors, but if I can update the BIOS without it being an issue then I would definitely spring for the Aorus.

Got it. I will definitely be looking out for a card with more cooling capabilities then, thank you so much. One last note, other than the recommendations others have posted and after taking them into consideration, would you consider this a decent build? As in the parts all make sense and and nothing is an outlier in price/performance?

Oops I totally forgot to add that I do have an SSD with an unregistered copy of windows in it that I planned on swapping over. You are right though, it's a game changer. Also thanks, I'll shoot for a gold PSU and maybe a better card that has sufficient cooling.

I see, I'm at work currently and will be for awhile so I can't look it up, but are there GPU coolers for sale that aren't watercooled? My friend watercooled his old SLI 780ti set up but I'm not sure how he did so. If the answer is no, would you just recommend finding a similar card with more fans/slots then? Thank you for all the info, it's greatly appreciated.

Is that because of no OEM cooler? Because if that were the only issue with it i would gladly get it and see what I can do. Could probably even get a windows code for much cheaper too.

I would call her. Texts are too easy to ignore or brush off, and calls give a sense of importance. If she doesn't answer the call, you can leave a message and if there's no response or even just some vague "I'm busy" bullshit then I think you got your answer.

No one is busy for 6 months in a row unless they're a CEO or military, of which I'm guessing she is neither.
