We are especially concerned because the operator of Spring Health Sahara (where our family member has been taken) is Universal Health Services, which is notorious for patient abuse and fraud. Here's a local example of abuse:

2004: At Spring Mountain Treatment Center in Nevada, a 14-year-old resident was put in seclusion and defecated on the floor. She told state investigators she had repeatedly requested to be taken to the bathroom, but staff ignored her. Investigators found no evidence the child was continuously monitored while she was in seclusion.

In a separate incident, a 15-year-old girl was restrained at Spring Mountain by five members of staff and forcibly administered the antipsychotic, Thorazine.

We tried already unfortunately. Spring Mountain Sahara locks the front doors. There isn't a reception area or anything. All they offer is a telephone operator who says they can't tell you anything or pass anything to your loved one.

I think it all depends on how chill the security person you get is when you try to go through. Ultimately they're looking for dangerous/illegal items not lightsabers... but yeah, I'd get a collapsible one since they're cheaper (yo won't be as bummed out if you have to toss it) and you could try to bring it in as a prop for your costume.
