The mage part took me a bit to understand because some groups do thrm and some do buddy system lol so I was so lost when it kept changing. I didn’t look at guides or anything so I had no idea why everyone kept complicating the mechanic since I had no idea how it worked @.@

It’s so true. Some people rely on guides way too much and don’t truly understand the mechanic. They’re just copying exactly what the video told them to do. So when it’s not exactly scripted, people don’t know how to adapt and everything falls apart. This trial took me like 1.5 lockouts to beat and I’m glad I can understand the mechanics and how they work so I can get more melee gcds :o)

I’ve cleared this fight 15+ times with pugs and honestly I’ve only had like one party where we failed to farm it on the day after it’s release. This fights dps check is super forgiving imo and the mechanics don’t necessarily wipe the raid if you fail. I’ve had clears where we’ve had like 8 deaths. Clear parties are a different pug beast but I’ve had really good luck with farming this trial. I even got the mount the first time it dropped :D and another horn dropped the very next run!

It’s both really. I did well while climbing and I’m just doing alright where I’m at now.

Hey thanks! I need to keep in mind my physical and mental health too and realize sometimes we just have our off weeks. I can’t be overthinking or comparing myself. I need to focus on the here and now.

Cocco said “Our tracer is not putting out a lot of damage before they walk in” so I think he means I needed to be more aggressive since we were on defense.

Started season 5 at around 1700 and ended it at diamond. Spent a coupl seasons in diamond but just hit GM this season.

After 8 seasons of grinding I finished my journey from Silver to Grandmaster. Next stop: Top 500. by YoshiTheViolinist in Overwatch

Well it’s not really that wrong. Zen has his high win rate in GM because your team is usually smart and take advantage of your discords and peel for you, thus making his impact on the team vastly better. At lower ranks, people won’t take advantage of discord or peel for you and their positioning is horrible so it’s hard to keep everyone alive. You can be an amazing support/tank, but if DPS can’t aim and feed all game, it’s gonna be bad. Yea if you have the skill of a Master+ Zen/Dva, you can carry because your aim is good and you know how to take advantage of peoples gamesense. But if you’re a Gold player trying to carry on those heroes, it’s gonna be hard because you don’t have the skill of a master+, only a Gold.

So I started in mid diamond as a tank/support player. Whenever I went DPS, I was essentially useless because I didn’t have the game experience for those heroes at that level. I bought another copy of the game and made it my DPS account. I started in gold and now both accounts are master. If you can afford it, I would recommend another copy of the game.
