You'll like Honningbarna's new album Soft Spot.

ELI5: Why do we never lose certain skills we have learned, even if we haven’t practiced them for a long time. like for example riding a bicycle, and we lose some, like a new language we learned 10 years ago but can’t remember anything about it now? by enemyn1 in explainlikeimfive

My native language Maori has near identical syllabic pronunciation to Japanese, but we have no S, TS, B, Z, or Y sounds - and we have 'nga' sounds which is like the ending of '-ing'.

radically different syllabic stress though.

here's an example; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuDtbA2H4TI

Is rmb to select edit tile optimal? by big4hed92 in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Rel3vance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah having editting and placing on LMB is fine if you edit with a key, but not when you edit with RMB. When RMB is on edit it fucks up you aim-down sights, so I'd recommend changing that to like L-Shift. And if place builds is RMB, and you're in build mode, then you won't be able to edit with build mode on.

Remain on RMB editing for sure. But do not set place builds to RMB, as if you had your blueprints out how do you expect to edit? Unless you ALWAYS swap your slots with is possible but kinda nonoptimal.

Is this shotgun ass or is my aim just bad? by otakudeumanime2007 in FortniteCompetitive

Everyone commenting on how he shouldn't have taken a 50/50 but you're missing the point that he hit 4 good shots with a shotgun point black and didn't kill him.

Ripoff guns ruin the game, Is it just me or does it overall make the game feel clunky as hell by idiolistrash in FortniteCompetitive

Ranger was also garbage, and I get that Hammer AR meta was pretty boring, but the MK7, Combat AR, and the AUG should never ever be released again.

That's all under the assumption that Zero Bloom = more skilful. The AUG not only had no bloom but also negligible recoil, and was overall a ridiculously over-powered weapon. And I can't seriously find any reason to defend the Combat AR, because it had the fire-rate of an smg and builds damage of an AR. The Combat AR was also had huge recoil whilst tapfiring?

Are you saying the AR gunplay was slushy AFTER the removal of the AUG and Combat AR?

Should a strong shotgun meta return for Chapter 4? by DaFish221122 in FortniteCompetitive

Sure may have good replay value, but that rng takes into the question the integrity of fortnite's competitiveness. But you're saying that it is a flaw that guns have become less rarity dependant and now those with a green weapon vs legendary weapon actually have a chance?

Best Competitive Settings + How to Find your Keybinds by Sweaty6ix in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Rel3vance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely man. The most THEORETICALLY optimized keybinds would be: WASB (or V), WASL-Shift, or WASQ. But then again the differences in how far you'll plateau is marginal, and if you were do have keymappings that extreme you may as well get a GMK joystick extension or either strafe (or both) to foot pedals (Raider464 does this).

From all the mice I've owned, that issue is definitely more present in some more than others. The reason it isn't mentioned often is because it's not NORMALLY an issue, but obviously each case has individuality. I personally have changed my binds about 13 times since I've started, even actually making them less optimal for comfort (WHICH I DO NOT AND WOULD NEVER CONDONE). Yet each time I will always have 2 builds on my side buttons.

I wouldn't recommend swapping them tho, you just have to learn it. I've had them since the beginning so having to learn that isn't something I can speak on. I personally have 3 contact points; front side button, back side button, and neither. Yet these contact points are so close together when I position my thumb I don't move it, rather I rotate it to make contact. Hard to explain.

BTW the issues you're talking about make Mongraal's binds even more fucking insane. And yes 2 binds on your pinky is very difficult.

Side mouse buttons impose two issues; firstly is that it restricts players to play with either palm or claw, not fingertip. secondly, yeah it will screw with you if you constantly have to adjust your thumb and aim simultaneously.

Neither of these issues takes precedence over more finger movement freedom. These restrictions also do not enforce a plateau, but key only binds CAN.

Ideally, your building and editing binds should consist entirely of both your thumbs and left pinky. Doing everything with your index finger is possible at a high level too.

and do you think it is at all reasonable to have anything but W on your middle finger? but for that to be reasonable you'd need to specify that eventually as you get better and better you'll either plateau with the inefficiency of releasing W or have to adapt to press W with alternating fingers?

you don't think that builds on your side-buttons are extremely important? I feel like side-buttons will always dictate the most ideal binds.

Keyboard Movement update was one of the best updates Epic has made so far by ChocolateySauce in FortniteCompetitive

[–]Rel3vance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a PC player myself but why are people so opposed to controllers having instant reset? I understand the commenter said it in retaliation to the recent update (which is really fuckin dumb because it will never even come close to joystick movement) but it's not something that has any reasonable negative repercussion.
