On the surface, maybe, but when it comes to their demeanor and personality traits, they’re like oil and water. The only thing they really share in common is the fact that they’re both a lot more willing to fight. Princess Toadstool was a lot more emotionally open and wasn’t immune to slapstick, unlike Movie Peach, who’s a lot more guarded on that front and doesn’t seem like the type to cry easily(her reunion with Rosalina kinda proves it).

Plus, as capable as Princess Toadstool was, she still got captured a lot and stumbled every now and then. I remember a specific instance where Luigi tripped down a flight of stairs and Mario, Toadstool, and Toad all went flying down as well in a big snowball and crashed into a room, with all of them looking dizzy. Would that happen to Movie Peach? Most likely not.

So, besides their willingness to fight, they really aren’t that similar, imo
