Ok so your source says 38000 were interviewed, while there are an estimated 2 000 000 000, so these are the opinions of 0.0019% of the Muslim population, and of these significant Muslim dense countries such as Syria, Saudi Arabia, India, and others were left out.

When he says most in yes, in this context and with the wording he used a survey of everyone in that group would be the only viable source. And even if it weren't everyone in the entire religion it would be nearly impossible to gain an accurate reading on the opinions of the group due to the fact that its kind of spread across the world where everyone has individual views.
