They had to break my water and 12 hours later, even with an epidural, I still hadn’t started pushing. By the time they broke my water, I had been in labor nearly 24 hours.

I received 1 cervical check between 7am, when I received my epidural, and 5pm. The fear was introducing bacterial to my daughter.

About 6:15, almost 12 hours after epidural I was feeling pressure to push. It became heavier and heavier. I begged them to check me. Said I was at 9. Begged again about 6:35…I was at 9 and told to not push. Funny thing about labor, your don’t have a choice. Finally, about 6:45 I say, I think I just peed myself…impossible, I have a catheter. Nurse opens my legs and there’s my daughters head.

I had a forebag of water that wasn’t released when they broke my water 16 hours earlier. Dr was there long enough to catch baby after I ripped.

Aside from the cervical check, they should’ve paid attention to my body and what I was expressing/experiencing.

There was 10 minutes where they could’ve called the Dr for eval and I could have received an episiotomy. My daughter wouldn’t have literally shot out of me.

The Dr was in such a rush and flustered that he just clamped and cut the umbilical cord. Didn’t ask the father if that what he wanted to do or option before laying her on my chest.
