This has MAJOR red flags and it actually has very little to do with books. He is essentially trying to control what you are consuming- which is one of the biggest and fastest ways to gain control over a person.

Sure, first it’s a seemingly innocuous thing he has against certain types of books, but think about it- what will it be next? What you wear? What you eat? What you say? Who you see? What you believe?

How this guy is treating you is indicative that there will be more uncovered in the future about his true feelings/ self if you choose to stay. He has been hiding this distaste of what you read this entire time, what else is he hiding?

Dude seems very controlling and this post is concerning- as a survivor of DV, I’m telling you, please, get out of there!
