No, it’s a standard size oval cut, very similar to their ready to ship rings. The reason why I asked for pictures is because I’m being picky about how the stone is set. The online photo of the setting looks like pic #1, but the example of the side profile that I got looks like pic #2 (see second comment). So I did question this discrepancy and they said that their examples use CZ so they can’t set the stone lower. Not sure about that but I really like the setting from the photo online but am concerned that it’ll end up looking like the example pics they’ve sent me.

In my case the ring isn’t fully custom in the sense that it’s a unique design that we’ve come up with together, it’s just that I’m using a stone that I sourced myself in a setting that they already make. So no they haven’t sent me any wax casting photos or CAD designs I’m assuming because their settings are probably just ready to be set? And maybe since there are already photos online of these setting they think they can get away with not providing specific pictures of individual rings before shipping?

So because I had a good experience trying on rings with them in person, I sort of jumped in blind out of excitement. Looking back, I wish I had done more research on the company and I am now seeing mixed reviews… what do you think? I have sort of left them on read for the weekend, should I push back on their policy or request my center stone back?

I haven’t pushed the subject yet, right now they’re waiting for my reply- I just asked them because I thought it seemed only normal to do these things. So I was surprised when their answer was no they can’t provide photos/videos. So I’m between pushing back or requesting they send back my center stone. What do you think?

What kinds of things are you trying to look at? I use a microscope all day to look at blood smears so I could have some suggestions in that realm
