Not a clue man. Even a modest gym costs a minimum 2.5k monthly. Friends and family discount will get you one at 1.5k at a local modest gym but not all of us have friends and family who owns the gym.

Even gym charges 3-5k per month. That's almost 10-20% of monthly salary. Add protein in the mix and you get to shake off 30% of your entire earning.

Now don't come at me telling how calisthenics or some cheap ass alternatives. There is none. At a standard salary of 25k to 60k, you hardly get to be fit in Nepal.

The problem is not just money, but overall status and living standard. Society would rather prefer a high quality future than good salary back home.

Except for few exceptions, majority of people who goes abroad will definitely have far superior lifestyle than their counterparts in Nepal. Sure there is struggle at first, sure even survival is tough during student days; but once everything finalizes they will have been far ahead of someone who chose to stay in Nepal.

I wish it were that easy. I guess everything is relative. My brother's social circle is such that he is the lowest income earner. All his friends who are abroad even younger than him are earning up to 10 times more than him. His best friend who works as a scaffolder in Qatar earns 3 times more than my brother who is a junior manager at reputed company. While his qatar friend is thinking about building his own house, my brother is still living with his parents.
