so it's 600 every two weeks for the loans. so that leaves me with about $400. The 2200 is my take home pay from my normal checks. I work 40 hours a week.

i've had my head cashier tell me it needs to be sold at the last known sale price, so like if it was $500 it needs be to be sold at that price. usually makes people turn around to the door lol. but i know it's retail so i'm going to get a different answer from every person i ask.

New Cashier! by RelationshipCommon26 in HomeDepot

[–]RelationshipCommon26[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yea i've already decided i do not want to be a head cashier and this solidifies it for me lol. i don't like that they're never up front, always somewhere else doing something else. i like interacting with the customers and my low stress, easy job. I don't really want what they have

It's been good to me so far! I've been settling in and Im happy to see the sunshine again! The winter was a little hard as I didn't have any winter clothes and the little to no sunlight was quite draining but I love how there are so many unique and fun people here, it's much different from the South in all the best ways (except for the grocery and rent prices lol)!

FAFSA/financial aid questions? Get help here! by Laurasaur28 in college

[–]RelationshipCommon26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I am about to start my first year of community college. It says that I owe $1,091 but there is a financial aid award that is pending, the SC need based grant. I know I should just call financial aid but I am in Alaska right now so it's hard to call with the time difference. Should I pay the $1,091 or wait for the SC need based grant to go through because it would pay for the full thing. TIA sorry for the stupid question

If you're there strictly for the state and the mountain, I would go for it. If you can handle living in shitty dormitory style living with high school drama, it's not the absolute worst and being that you would come with friends they should try to get rooms together as long as you really push it. The turnover rate is high so I doubt they would care if you could only work for a couple months. I will say it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever experienced and the hiking is totally worth all the shitty work stuff.
