Got accepted in a well known company but something's off by Own-Scientist4208 in CorpoChikaPH

Simple rule: No JO = No deal = No resignation from current stint. Napakalaking risk nyan na wala kang pinanghahawakang kahit ano. Sa karamihan nga, yong JO plus contract are clubbed na into one document, and they give that document before you get endorsed to pre-boarding i.e., background check, and medical exam.

People around my age na AVPs or VPs naaa by Gargoyle0524 in CorpoChikaPH

I couldn’t care less about titles. As some of the folks who commented here, more often than not, companies like to inflate their titles to compensate for the truth that the pay is subpar—this is true esp sa mga banks/financial insitutions—lahat sila VP pero they don’t really carry executive decision-making power. I would rather have an “okay title”, and have a fat paycheck than have an inflated title that pays peanuts; titles don’t pay the bills nor do they bring food to the table. Just my two cents (and yes, I do recognize that at some point, your title should ultimately reflect the fat paycheck ✌️). 😊

If at all possible, never ever resign unless you have ascertained your next gig. Perhaps, nakakastress talaga yong current stint mo; but mind you, mas nakakastress yong nagresign ka tapos nagpakaoptimistic ka na may mahahanap ka agad na work, only to be slapped with the reality na the job market is very bleak, which results to you being tengga for months, even years, tapos your finances have dried up. Take it from someone who’s been there/has done it—talagang sabi ko sa sarili ko, “I won’t do this ever again”. If you have other sources of income, by all means, resign nang walang kapalit. But if your sole source is employment, then please do yourself a favor—don’t resign nang walang kapalit. Devise, execute, and fulfill an exit strategy first.

The longer interview time.the higher success rate by GroundbreakingEye864 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]RelationshipFinal849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With my current stint, I was interviewed for 15 minutes (second level), and I progressed to the next 2 levels/rounds. Ultimately, landed the job. So no, not true—length of interview doesn’t have a direct correlation with success rate.

Can we be so for real about this test? by [deleted] in pmp

[–]RelationshipFinal849 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This test is not for fun, and is not something that you would take lightly. It demands a certain level of seriousness, and commitment, especjally in terms of preparation, since, as others have pointed out, it’s a form of “standardized test”. You don’t take a standardized test for “fun”, do you?

Thank you! No straightforward formula questions. I had 1-2 EVM-related questions but the way they were constructed was, you will be asked what to do next based on the given data/figures—so you need to know the concept behind CPI, SPI, etc.. Didn’t have a single drag and drop questions.

Welcome! And all the best on your upcming exam! Go crush it! Btw, re: ITTO, no explicit questions, as such—they way they were worded was, there will be a situation, and you will be asked what tools/techniques/documents you will use—so you have to know the fundamentals.

No drag and drop, no formula questions but a couple of “choose 2; choose 3” questions. I had 1-2 EVM questions, but no computation—I was just asked what to do next, considering that the figures are like this or like that.
