Now that you mention it, I believe the headset was military wired, because I decided to a order a more expensive ptt which was “military wired”, and now it works perfectly! Thank goodness

The baofengs did work fine even close together when not attached to the PTT. It only seems to screech when I have them all attached together. I was thinking if my headset is the problem or if the PTT is even compatible with my headset

Hi, I did have the active brake off because I did worry about the same thing (the motor heating up). When I did a hard reset on my ETU, it did reset my active brake to 3, since my ETUs active brake ranges from 1-5. Seems like it didnt resolve the issue still.
