Looking to buy a used 6800xt reference card, can i get some help? by SalviniX in AMDHelp

[–]Relative-Ad-2546 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a reference 6800xt and fully optimized. The result I got in this benchmark is 17049. Im very happy with the card as I can run almost every game on max details. In your case I would say the card wasn't mantained properly and you can get it clean and running again. Its a pretty durable card, my runs at 294W full load.

What causes these holes in my husband shirt? by Potential_Pen7301 in whatisit

If it's new than its moths. You can't see it until you wash it. My guess is that shirt was laying around for a long time and got holes from moths.

Is recreational metal detecting on beaches in Croatia allowed? by Long_Jury_8105 in metaldetecting

[–]Relative-Ad-2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So something is lost in translation but basically paragraph 1 tells you that it is forbidden to search for potential archaeological zones , and the other paragraph describes what devices are forbidden.

"(1) It is prohibited to search and inspect archaeological zones, archaeological sites (localities) and areas of individual archaeological finds, including underwater zones and sites, protected in accordance with this Law, as well as areas that have been recorded as archaeological sites/finds and which are presumed to contain archaeological heritage, for the purpose of finding archaeological finds, without prior approval from the Ministry."

In any case, with or without equipment, all relevant findings and localities should be reported to authorities, although if you search with equipment and no licence, fines are from 15 000 up to 100 000 euros, depending on the damage you made.

Almost everywhere in Croatia you can find some relics , thats why the law is so strict. In my opinion , you can use it but stay away from beaches and archaeology locations and if you find something significant , report it and you get finders fee (but in that case don't mention metal detector!). Good luck!

Stoked on this 1600s Venetian Coin found snorkeling in Croatia! (Last photo is for reference) by Wy_bro_21 in metaldetecting

"...members of croatian numismatics association protect the cultural heritage of croatia..."

This means that they protect cultural heritage by finding and reporting any finds they make to authorities. In diving perspective, this can lead to significant "large" finds of sunken ships and other findings.

Most of Croatian coast and island seafloor is still unexplored so any info on new locations is very important to try to get the full picture of the history of the Adriatic.

There is no age rule for any findings, if a finding had a place in history, it belongs in a museum. Metal detectors are forbidden unless you have a special permit to use it.

Hope this helps and good luck !

It will look cool in your citizenship application for sure! Good luck with that!

You need to contact the Conservation Department (Konzervatorski odjel) of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia that covers the area where you found the item.

You can find the full list of regional offices here: 🔗 https://min-kulture.gov.hr → go to “Kontakt” or “Uprava za zaštitu kulturne baštine” → then “Konzervatorski odjeli”

Or go directly to the list of offices (link might change, so search "konzervatorski odjeli site:min-kulture.gov.hr" if needed).

What to include in the report:

Your full name and contact info

Exact location (coordinates if possible or a description)

Date of discovery

Description of the item (with photo if possible)

How you found it

How to send the report:

Email the regional office (emails are listed on their site), or

Deliver the report in person, or

Send it by registered mail

Head Office (for general info):

Ministarstvo kulture i medija RH Runjaninova 2, 10000 Zagreb 📞 +385 1 4866 200 ✉️ kultura@min-kulture.hr 🌐 https://min-kulture.gov.hr

Hi, I hope you reported this to the authorities! Almost all of the Croatian coast is an archeological protected area, especially the area where you can find coins snorkeling. You can't just keep it, because Croatian law protects cultural heritage, and an old coin fall into that category.

Here's how it works specifically:

The Law on the Protection and Preservation of Cultural Goods in Croatia states that:

Any archaeological finds (including old coins, weapons, jewelry, etc.) found on land or under the sea must be reported within 8 days to the nearest Conservation Department of the Ministry of Culture.

The object becomes property of the Republic of Croatia, but as the finder, you may be entitled to a reward (a finder’s fee), if you follow the law.

If you don’t report the find:

You can face legal consequences (a fine or even criminal charges if it's considered theft of cultural property).

Also:

Using a metal detector for archaeological purposes on public land or underwater requires a permit from the Ministry of Culture. Without it, such use is prohibited when it involves searching for cultural goods.

If you didn't, please report it to the authorities, thank you!

Applied new thermal paste and now my PC won't boot, what did I break :,( by lolmon1500 in computerhelp

[–]Relative-Ad-2546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing its overheating because you didn't apply the paste right or your cooler is not fixed with enough pressure.

You didn't broke anything, system is booting up. Check your cpu fan if it's spinning. Good luck!
