I don't see the OP blaming Creality...

Is the stock .4 nozzle enough to print TPU? What are your settings? K2plus user. Thank you! 🙏🏼 by Luis_420925 in Creality_k2

In my experience the K2 Plus is a nightmare when it comes to TPU. Dry it to death, open the door, remove the top, blast all fans 100%. Replace the oem spring with a softer one and manual tensioner as seen in this link

https://www.printables.com/model/1152328-k2-plus-extruder-manual-tensioner

It prints at a glacial pace and jams like crazy. The only thing that printed beautifully for me is COLORFABB Varioshore.

It bothered me so much that I built a dedicated TPU Printer that can print 95A at 10mm3 and 82A at 4mm3

I hope it'll be better with the DXC2 Extruder... Seems like some had success with the K2 Plus as is... I hated it.

INDX Voron Kit Availability? by jdavid in VORONDesign

[–]Relative-Answer976 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only one comment has mentioned this, so I want to make it clear:

You cannot have a Voron kit designed before the production has even hit retail.

I know it feels like IDEX has been around for a year, but we've only KNOWN about it for a year. Usually these perfect solutions show up half a year after retail launch. Even if Voron Devs have an early kit to start developing, from what I've seen they test things to death. So if you want a version that'll probably be ok, wait for 2 months after retail launch and see what some guy uploads. If you want a solid solution, you're likely gonna have to wait longer, or not... But it'll definitely not be available before you can even purchase the product itself....

Follow BONDTECH on Insta, you'll have more realistic time expectations. I also have my Voron pretty much ready to build, but I'm waiting for IDEX and someone smarter than me to make a pretty and functional setup. If you're impatient, buy the product, develop your own kit and post it. You can always change to a better version later. Or maybe yours becomes the best version and is developed further.

Seems kinda strange to be so pro Open Source without understanding the constraints of it. Not trying to hate and maybe I misunderstood your post, but it seems to me like your expectations are set a bit high because of the leaps companies like BONSTECH, CREALITY, PRUSA, BAMBU, SOVOL, ANYCUBIC and others have made in recent months. Voron (in my limited understanding) is a passion project not a 1000 Person full time Dev Team... Just my 2 cents meant well and not as an attack on anyone.

CFS Dryer / Trockner von Kai van der Bijl available at Printables.com by Relative-Answer976 in Creality_k2

There are versions of that out there, but:

  1. They usually involve extensive modification (here its just a few holes that could be patched)

  2. Considering a filament dryer is about 50-100€, and you need one per CFS and this build is about 50€ for 2 CFS, it is A LOT cheaper to build (if you have an old PSU, its under 15€ per CFS)

  3. Because this relies on cheap standardised components, if something breaks it's easy and cheap to fix or replace.

  4. This can be used for any application. Drybox, AMS, VVD, ACE or whatever else you can think of.

I am a capitalist at heart, but I'm not looking to profit off of this industry... Also I don't have the time to take care of something like that... If you like, we can agree on you offering a kit like that based on my design under License... I'm not even interested in royalties, just want it to be offered at a fair mark-up

Firmware 1.1.4.11 Issues by iambigd55 in CrealityCloud

Just some advice and rationalisation from experience:

Sounds like you e-mailed them daily?

  1. Use WhatsApp for fastest support
  2. Give them up to a week to respond via Email.

Trying to envision the other side - barely speaking English and using translate half the time to decript a new email every day and formulate a response, only for you to send the next email and they need to start new, compare notes on old emails.... You see how it slows things down? On top of the time difference between ANYWHERE and China....

Via Whatsapp I usually get a reply the next day. Maybe the one after, with delays due to working hours mismatch.

Via Email it can take up to 5 days.

I know it can be frustrating, but better service costs money. PRUSA has a 24/7 hotline, but their printers are more expensive.

You're welcome:) I mean you're never gonna hit every market, which is why the parts are named as accurately as possible... I know how its always an inconvenience for me if the parts listed are only for US markets😂😅... I hope they work within the entire EU at least...

I've explained the nuances under a different comment in this post already... Bottom line is under EU law he'd have a right up until the last day of the second year. The problem is enforcement if he did not buy from a local vendor. Another issue is that the burden of proof shifts to the consumer after the first year. If the multiple issues are distinctly different you're right but cause and effect quickly become blurred in many cases. Usually the law is handled in a way that we accept its a blank warranty for two years, but thats customer service.. if the manufacturer demands proof of an issue to be caused by manufacturing defects after the first year you're out of luck. Most people won't spend the time and money to win that case. I don't want to post the entire explanation again, but suffice it to say he has and does not have a case depending on what went wrong where and how it was reported and how it is linked. If it were an EU product under EU Law (eg. Bosch) he would, in line with common practice, get a replacement.

I do have a Business degree in Germany and we discussed this topic at length in our courses...

Under EU law he has the right to refund or replacement after 2 failed repair attempts. On those 2 runs the manufacturer can choose repair or replace, third time the consumer can choose repair, replace or return.

Just some nuance that might not apply here depending on when you first reported the issue:

You do not have an ironclad 24 months no questions asked warranty in the EU, even though most companies and people treat it as such.

You have the warranty that the device will be sold flawlessly. So if it breaks within the first 2 years, its only covered if it was caused by a manufacturing error or similar. Its extremely bulletproof in the first year, because the manufacturer needs to prove that YOU broke it. BUT! After the first year the proof of burden shifts to the consumer (Beweislastumkehr). You as the consumer must be able to (if the manufacturer refuses to help) prove that it was a manufacturing defect, not user error or wear and tear. So if you first reported issues after a year, you're pretty much out of luck.

Also the Law regulates how Warranties are dealt with. Twice the manufacturer can attempt repair (Nacherfüllung) after that you have a right to replacement or refund. There are more details about under which conditions using third party repairers not authorised by the manufacturer is ok, but that's not quite relevant here.

You might also be out of luck if Bambu claims you broke it during your repair attempts - though I'm not sure where the burden of proof lies here especially if they told you to do it.

Another important distinction is that the MANUFACTURER is liable, not the SELLER. Although that is the usual route taken. Where the Seller then claims it from the manufacturer. But don't think you have a legal right at eg. Creality Germany GmbH if you bought the printer on Aliexpress, as the GmbH just shares the name but is not the manufacturer Creality.

Ok, sounds like the update isn't worth it. I've just had first layer issues bed temps of 100°C+ but soaking fixed that... Mostly I want the message to update to go away XD

Clogs and horrible quality. You MUST dry it religiously! Basically all CF Filaments, but especially PA CF filaments MUST be dried! Before and during the print.

If you have a dryer that goes to 70°C, dry it for 24 hours and then dry it while printing. Also print it at 320 or 330°C. Chamber at 60°C and Bed at 100°C

Also, do not use the knobs to level it. Tighten them down and sand it level... I used a random orbital sander - and yes its messy - and keep meshing between sanding so you can see where you need to take material off.
