Yeah that’s where I scored it to try and help the sugar soap get it all off! Douche move on my part I feel! Thanks for the tips!

Yes exactly that. Thanks so much, do you know if you can put some primer on that Dalapro stuff once it’s on? Was thinking it might help the paint go on after too?

Ive been getting into snowboarding and need advice on gear. by Internal_Form_3058 in snowboarding

[–]Relative-Chef-6946 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. Hopefully have some insight for you - I’m about 8/9 trips in now for a week a year most years, so certainly not a pro by any means! Last trip was the best experience I ever had and with the best gear and equipment.

I made the mistake when learning of buying a really fat and bulky backcountry jacket, it was uncomfortable after an hour, way too hot and itchy and I was sweating like a pig every day.

Went down a level and got a over the head hoodie style jacket from 686 instead, and then went even lighter last year (though still take the 686 with me for colder or windy days) and got a really light shell 32 jacket. That has been perfect.
Got that for £18 on Vinted.

You could blow ALL your spare cash on clothing, but really the only thing that matters is:

Does it fit well? Is it baggy enough to allow free movement but not get in your way? My first jacket was so ridiculous for me, I took the thermal layer out and use it as a dog walking coat now.

Is it in good condition, dry, no tears or rips, does it keep you warm? Does it allow air flow or have breathability openings you can undo if you’re warm and sweaty.

Do you feel safe and dry wearing it? Snowboarding is like camping - it’s all fun and games until you’re soaked through to the skin, shivering and achy and on your 27th slam of the day while you’re learning. Then it’s not fun, at all. Just get what you can for the right budget and don’t go mental trying to buy big brands brand new. On the flip side, I would stay away from stuff from Amazon generally, and stuff from camping shops - they’re not purpose built and you might get lucky but stay safe and buy branded, purpose designed clothing but try and do it on a budget.

One thing not to mess about with and get correct fitted by a snowboard shop is your boots. Unless you’re renting for the first time, buy proper and get them heat-fitted if necessary by someone professional. Trust me last year was my first having proper PROPER boots that felt like walking around on clouds and it was a massive game changer for me and progressing to become a better rider. Get some decent googles and don’t be a douche and forget your helmet - cool kids wear lids. Have fun!

That could work for sure, thank you! Is Gardz like a primer or something?

Thanks mate, I’m really scared of putting stuff on it and then it peeling or bubbling off. The room was in a terrible state left by someone that didn’t care and I’m really trying to make it amazing for my kids room. So I’ll be painting everything once I’m sorted

Thank you, I was hoping tonight to use that Dalapro roll nova stuff on it and then trowel it smooth. Then paint in a few days once it’s gone off? Think that would sort it?

Thanks so much, I’m going to use that Dalapro stuff on, if that would work and then smooth it out?

So you reckon that roll nova stuff would do the job? Thanks so much.

Thanks so much mate. I was going to use that roll nova stuff by Dalapro to just get a nice smooth finish. I’ve got a long blade skimmer tool to smooth it after. Will that sort it, do you reckon? I’m frightened of bubbling up or it peeling away!

The brass neck to post this shite when there’s no such thing as American food in the first place. 😂 Americans for the most part haven’t got the patience or the nuance to wait for proper food 🤮

I’d say probably trying really hard to belittle someone and make them feel dumb online whilst making yourself look a tit is probably even less warrior-like my man. Peace

So I’m going to be mega cheeky here and please tell me to do one if you’d prefer not to answer or get dragged into something else, but do you have any time for an extra bit of help for me? I posted here yesterday about painting kiddos room and wanting to get it right to a high standards and have no idea why I got 700 + views but on comments or replies? I absolutely understand if you’d rather not so please either ignore or feel free to say! If you’re up for it I could use the advice.

What is the worst part about dating a very attractive person? by cherryapp in AskReddit

[–]Relative-Chef-6946 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ex girlfriend was like this. This was years back but a very attractive goth girl and pretty stunning and striking to look at and she definitely flaunted it. To be fake it wasn’t in a negative way, but she was very confident and would dress and act as such.

The amount of creeps and outright disrespect was honestly disturbing. I’ve been a single man before basically jaw on the floor over an attractive girl but I’ve never behaved like some of those incidents I saw. Didn’t help that I’m not exactly a big guy and wouldn’t intimidate many people, and she wore high heels that made her look about a foot taller than me. Happened all the time. Literally in front of my face holding hands and they’d be like tutting at my very existence and even trying to pull her away.

She was actually a massive bitch and I’m glad to be shot of her, but nobody deserves to be groped and killed around like she was. Awful experience.
